TVX is it the end?

I don't work at Television X anymore - I used to do their scheduling and some of the commissioning - but I still produce content for them. Just to clear up an earlier query... a series runs for 5 weeks (5 episodes) where each new episode will be aired at the start of the evening. So you'll have one new series running on friday nights and a different new series running on saturdays - not unlike regular TV channels. They are the premieres. I actually scheduled all the new content up to next year, so there are still going to be plenty of new shows from all the favourites like Freddie and Lara etc. And yes, subscribers can watch all the hardcore versions for free anyway, so not quite so important that we're still not allowed to put hardcore on TV... as long as people are internet savvy, that is.

I would defy anyone to say there isn't a wide variety of content on Television X. Over the past couple of years I've worked there making sure we commissioned a good range of different content from fun spoof features to reality stuff at either end of the spectrum... we also obviously focussed more on what was popular with the punters - you can't argue with that! - but still made sure there was a good mixture. It is a case of each to their own. I love all the producers we had working there and i'm sure they'll be making more stuff for TVX again soon... as I hope I will be too! In the meantime, like I said, IF your're happy with your current subscription, then there's not going to be any changes to the standard of content you'll get.

Yes, there is more of that kind of thing because that has always been what sells best in the UK and on that channel in particular. It's that naught Brits next door thing... but we did try to make sure we had other things too. You'd be right that the more glossy side was covered the least. It just never did well with the TVX audience.

Thanks for the info Liselle and as you are in charge of scheduling you must know whats happening. I'll keep a watch because I still cant see how you can chuck everyone out and still have all this new stuff? Anyway, just one thing and I saw someone else mentioned it on here as well. That is TVX obsession with spoofs and parodies, I agree with Arginald that these are really shite. All the parodies are from films that are so old you have to be over 50 to remember them. Like "Chariots of Jizz" is Chariots of Fire, I was 4 when that came out and making a parody doesn'tmean you just change a word in the title to a sex word, that's what a 9 year old would do. Also Weird Science is from the stone age, I think TVX make parodies because theyre too lazy to think up an original show, also I find it a bit insulting to my intelligence, just speaking as a viewer. Also one more thing, you mentioned Lara when will her next series be coming out and also can you give us a clue who's got new series coming up?? Hope you don't get ?offended by my comments as you don't work there anymore but it looks like you'd like to get a job there again! Just one other thing, people have been saying it is impossible to cancel membership to TVX do you know if this is true, I haven't cancelled yet just waiting to see what happens over the next few months, but now I'm dreading it if I do decide to cancel.

In the past I've had quite a few series on TVX. We believe in using beautiful girls and great styling, but shot in a "reality style" so the idea that all stuff on TVX is shot with plain "Girls next door" isn't quite correct. Admittedly we do avoid the sausage lipped, stuck on boob, so called, "Fantasy girls" as I believe this is a very dated look.

Yes they are all very attractive. When I worked at TVX, we had attractive girls too. I just look at some (and I emphasise some) of the models around on, say, Air and I can't for the life of me see how anyone could get off on watching them.

I think what is troubling is that pornstar " look" that has been foisted on us all for the last 20 years is now out of date. I suppose you could say the "look" is, Jodie Marsh without the smile.

I think the porn consumer has quietly moved on and want a more natural look. But I bet you in a contest with a Jodie Marsh lookalike covered in tats and a natural, pretty "Girl next door", the Jodie Marsh would get swamped with work and the natural girl left with nothing.

In spite of this I believe it is the natural girl that the paying punter would prefer. Just to remind you of Jodie Marsh:

These days girls get work based on attitude and enthusiasm.
