Re: Should we name no shows and timewasters?
I dont think this is something I would want and I will explain why if you promise not to think me very paranoide as I can see that is how this thought will appeare, just my opinin though if you keep getting yes's feel free to ignor me (x)
The reason these sorts of issuews can get heated (by which I mean instances where someone has had a bad experience witha model and shares it) is because we are not in an industry where we are selling objects, we are selling our selves and this instantly adds a human emotional element into the mix. If I called up Tescos (other supermarket lazy shoppers options are avaliable) because they had sent me some off grapes, the person i spoke to would not feel persponaly offended. He (or she) would be able to deal in a detached manor to my complaint and deal with it without either of us being upset because the grapes are not a part of them and they do not need those grapes to make a living in the future.
Also if someone put a post up on a site because id had to cancel a shoot say because id been kicked in the face by a horse and had a black eye (happened) I would be devestated. I would assume that people would just scan such lists for names and not really care to wait to here the why and what fors. There would yes, im sure be people who took the time to wait for me to find out about the post and explain why I canceled but the damage could well have already happend by then. Im sure that if atog was cross enough to share the event, then he would not put, Maise sent me a picture of her black eye so at least her reason is valid, he would simply have put, Masie canceled night before shoot, I lost out.
Also it leads to the ever worrying problem of models being compared and more upsettingly models comparing themselves. Again because we are the product we are trying to sell, this leads to an incredible need for self confidence and self assurance that we are good enough to sexualy please someone. When I read this thred last night i looked at Bensons link and found myself on it. I got 7/10. Now everything he said was both true and fair. It was lovely to hear that he appreciated the energy I put into that scene and we did have problems with my e-mail account not receiving several of the e-mails he sent me. Not a bad word was said nor an untruth spoken. But I was hurt, my insatnt reactin was why didnt I score higher, did he think I was no good, which girls are better than me and why. i then rused through the list looking to see who was better than me. I at this point gave myself a mental slap. For I know that I gave my all on his shoot, I also know he was happy with this and he did very fair by me when writing his blurb. But do you see where such a simple process led me?
As models we are all different and this is good because all men like different looks, some like big some little some dark some light etc and we all have to find our slot when we enter the industry. It doesnt however stop that little female voice inside you wanting to be six foot and super proportioned and when you have a dip in work, which we all will from time to time, you do wonder if maybe not being 65ft and stunning could be the reason and these thoughts aren;t heathy and I worry that such sites could feed them.
Finaly (sorry this is a very long though) we are a very small almost family community and gossip travels quicker than the clap. IF a girl is repeatedly letting peple down, which is the only time it really matters as we all have real lives and the occasional blip is bound to happend as with any job, we all have a few genuine sick days, you will hear of it as the story will travel. A girl faked her certs earlier this year, we all know who it was because peopel felt this was something they needed to share when they met, so they did.
Now I am not saying I am the best or leaxst flawed model as im not and have always been very open on here about my down comings but equally i always try my hardest when im at work, possibly this is why I feel so wprried that otehrs muight judge me and find me lackign as I have nothing more to give. I am hppy to admit that there are girls out there who are better at certain things i coudlnt dream of doing (I will never have a shay hendrix pout) but equally she cant bounce about like I can. Depending on the list one of us would always fall short and if we read it on a bad day one of us would be crushed. I know your not suggesting alist of whos best and I understand that togs need to limit thjere ? risks as much as possible but in some form or another girls would start to be ranked. I spoke to a tog about this today and he told me that he had a girl cancel on him last minute and he knew some else she had doen this for. He rebooked her anyway and got a very very hot scene and they have worked well ever since to his ?????, everything isnt black and white.

Re: Should we name no shows and timewasters?
That was a bit long winded maisie but I catch your drift.
I objected to this sort of thing because its one of those topics that just keeps coming back and after I gave it some thought I thinkit would work better if people just stated:
I booked so model x for a shoot and she failed to show or in the case of a producer, models says producer x booked me for a shoot and/ or failed to show up or asked me for extras and got stroppy when I refused.
This will work if the accused is givebn the right to reply.
As you said there may well be valid reasons for no shows on either producer or performers part and the people reading it can evaluate for themself
If truth be told, I think no show producers are just as bad and something should be done to limit this most time wasting aspect of the adult business.
Will it make a blind bit of difference?
Yes i think it will reduce it if not eradicate it if it catches on. Lets face it, to do nothing about it is part of the reason why this business is becoming more chaotic.
I think its within the producers and performers interests to make it happen. Its not difficutl to get going if you want it but I find word of mouth just ends up being chinese whispers that can spiral out of control.
This will only work if people are given the right to reply. Which they will

Re: Should we name no shows and timewasters?
Maisie Im not interested in rating models as that is another subject entirely and you will find one man may love a model and another will hate her.
I don't base who I work with on the basis of another mans opinion (unless it is very dramatic ie shes an alcoholic that stabs producers LOL) and if she has a history of being a no show I'd like to know about it beforehand so I can quote to she is unreliable as part of my deciding to book her. At least I know she might let me down. There is no substance in word of mouth unless it is from someone you really trust.
You never know. It may compell the model/ producer to make more of an effort. Also where producers are guilty of this, a model can use this information to get an advance in lieu of the shoot that could be offset if the producer actually turns up.
I wouldnt advise models asking producers of reputable standing. You know who they are as they pop up on here and rarely ever not show on a booking. It is mainly those of amateur standing that are guilty of this. (Note the use of the word mainly as im not out to destroy the reps of amateurs who are honourable in their attitude)
Lets face it, some models would abuse this situation by keeping the money and not showing up. Especially if they are new, and this could encourage "clipping".

Or The Revenge Of The No Show Producers !happy!
Synopsis: When David Copafeel (a porn producer) books a model he is obsessesed by he finds he actually has no money and fails to appear for the booking.
Hell bent on revenge, model Sterling BJ (played here by Megan Fox) begins a chain of revenge attacks by posting on an internet forum sparking a deadly game of cat and mouse that ends up drawing both sides into massive conflict with apocalyptic consequences....
Now I'd buy that for a dullah!

And thats where it fails. It's libellous and unless you can *prove* it happened, you're wide open for legal action against you.

Bring it on I say.
Most of these cream puffs who threaten legal action do so thinking its going to scare the bejeezus out of the people it is intended for.
There are ways to do things and I look forward to your court action if you have one.
For someone who has had physical threats of violence and death Im hardly going to be scared by a court summons.

More so , people who threaten legal action are too damn lazy to even see it through.
So I look forward to the first person who wishes to make an example out of me.
Then we can get down and dirty in a court room and discuss your adventures in the porn business for the amusement of the jury and watch as tyhe case is dropped and you are left with a legal bill you have to pay.
