I have been trying to persuade Cathy to speak more often in her vids as the accent is great. She might do a vid where she talks direct to camera about rude things hopefully.

Ace, your thinking of Pat Roach the ex-wrestler who played Bomber. Great accent but his hairs nowhere near as nice as Cathys. I see Phil was getting grumpy about her taking too long to dry her hair in the documentary which made me smile bearing in mind the amount of hair talk on the forum lately.

LDMs car must have cost a few bob. Nice motor.

I think it depends on what part of the West Country people come from. People from Cornwall (anybody remember Poldark?) will have a different accent to someone from Somerset (or Zummerzet as it sounds). Some one from Dorset/Wiltshire will be different again (think of the chap with long hair in Time Team he's from Wiltshire)& it's not all "ohh arr I'm a fermar!"

Cathys accent is more like the sexy female cartoon rabbit from the Caramac advert in the eighties. It turned out the woman who did the voice of the sexy rabbit was actually a very large middle aged lady. My dreams were shattered!

Your quite right WinkWink. Fred West never once said "oo ar Im a farmer" but mind you he was from Gloucester (you know the place where Dr Foster was heading when he fell in a puddle).

Then theres the true Bristol accent which is different again. You get the same thing in most parts of the country. Accents vary greatly even over a distance of a few miles. For example I can say with some authority that Jayne Middlemiss accent is NOT geordie its South Northumbrian. Both different accents.
