UK porn industry millionaires ?

Think of porn as a huge cake years ago when the few that were doing it had bigger slices between them then think of it now with many producers and theres your answer.

Weve meet a couple of porn magazine millionaires but porn star /producer millionaires! do they exist? most of us live on the breadline (well almost) & only do it for fun as were all sex maniacs just trying to earn some money to keep our little hobbies/websites afloat.

Paul Raymond, Richard Desmond ? I believe those two dudes are even stuffier than Diddy Dave. In fact, it was suggested recently that Desmond was now a billionaire and was poised to tackle the US market with OK magazine. One thing all three have in common though is that they just used porn as a means to an end. It was just business. If selling widgets had been more profitable that?s what they would have done. They never got hung up on it (like us, on here, talking porno bollocks). They remained focused on the prime objective ? generating cash to buy assets.

Dunno. Wouldn?t be surprised. But Nici and husband Chris would have been successful anyway. They had their heads screwed on right. He was ?something in the city?, before he shot his first wad on camera (round at our studio). I guess Chris applied his considerable business acumen and resources to porn, instead of pork bellies, or nickel mines.

Samsung. Just because I could only think of about five, wealthy producers as for the magazine and tv moguls of course there are more, but they are also phenominal businesmen not just profiting from just porn.
But then I don't know anyone I live in my little hole and pop out every now and then for a Road Trip.

and much of his money comes from that.

Soho has always had a rather run down, bohemian feel about it, and
I guess in the 70s and 80s Paul Raymond could pick up a block here
and a block there for fairly small outlays.

This is true. Also, Richard Desmond's wealth is now derived from his newspaper publishing business (he divested himself of the top shelf titles a while ago) And a chunk of Diddy Dave's wealth will derived from his Football club, property, and goodness what else. But to buy assets like land in Soho, football clubs and leading national newspapers, you need large wads of CASH. Prior to the millennium the porn biz was very good at generating cash. The sort of cash that makes acquiring assets possible.

I'm sure he could. No doubt you could pick up a whole city block for under ?20,000, back in the early 70's. However, that was no good to ordinary mortals who weren?t in the porn business. They were probably only taking home ?10.00 a week - when their outgoings were ?10.00 and sixpence. For them, acquiring any kind of asset was an impossible dream. Property was comparatively cheap then because almost everyone was brasic (skint).

Who knows? I would imagine earnings in the UK are pretty average but there's the obvious advantage of a lot of it being cash so the overall amount is "Worth More" in real terms. One thing that is for sure is that the vast majority manage to piss it all up the wall as quick as it comes in.

I know two models (Neither from the UK) who have become ? millionaires through working in porn'. Both are big names in the biz and one has a hugely successful porn' website and the other is spectacularly shrewd/lucky (!) with investments. Not bad going for a couple of young ladies who have still to hit 25!
