Hillsborough

Post by Sam Slater »

Took my 7yo niece and 11yo nephew to lay some flowers outside the Wednesday ground today. I take them to matches now and again and it's important they know what happened 22 years ago.

They still don't believe we were all caged-in in those days!

Respect to the 96.

Still after compensation? Amazing how Rangers fans keep quiet about the 1970s crush and don't keep stuffing it down people's throats....

Arginald Valleywater: You a nasty piece of shit, which is being disrespectful to shit.

If you had any intelligence, you would understand why the families of the 96 are still fighting for justice after all these years.

Perhaps I could direct you to Jimmy McGovern's brilliant drama-doc "Hillsborough" as a starting point.

I have some authority about this subject, BTW, because thank God, I was lucky to survive that day.

Justice For The 96.

Moving on might have been easier if the local police, specifically senior officers in charge that day, had not got off without so much as a slapped wrist for what amounted to severe dereliction of duty.

Can we not get into a debate about who was and wasn't to blame?

The post was just about remembrance and respect, which I feel are more important.

Let it go. In Scouser terms justice equals Money. I have to put up with Liverpool fan colleagues who make constant Munich jokes about Man U but get really nasty when Hillsborough is mentioned. It was a tragedy, nobody can deny it but what exactly are you looking for? Nobody in authority got up that morning and thought "think I'll kill a few innocent football fans today"...

Your reply "Let it go. In Scouser terms justice equals Money."

Snowy's case proven. No question.
