His Fame(?) tour was a big hit wasn't it? I know I couldn't get tickets for me and a few mates until he added another day to the tour.
It's all subjective of course, but people calling him 'pompous' and 'egotistical' and a 'one trick pony' are more than likely just that....lol.

I like Ricky Gervais a lot and I thought Ghost Town was a really good Capra-esque feel-good movie.
But The Invention of Lying just doesn't work and it makes no sense if you actually think about it. There are a couple of humourous moments - the first date with Jennifer Garner, the invention of religion scene - but after exhausting the idea in the first half, it concludes in a bland Hollywood rom-com style.
