I see your point but I'd have to have some serious recommendations before I saw anything with him in the starring role.
I'd put him on a par with Russell Brand as the two faces I would most like to slap (only in a critical way you understand)

Thats cause he`s a fucking one trick pony. And his tricks pretty shite at that

Bukkake shots where you are with a few other guys...is fucking gay.

In fact, about pulling trains with a woman...you wanna have sex with other guys and mix your sperm with theirs...you're just using a woman as a conduit.

I might go hire the dvd from blockbusters when it's out. I liked The Office, Extras, his XFM radio shows and podcasts and his stand-up was great, so I'll give his films a viewing too before criticising.

One trick pony?

He can play the guitar, act, do stand-up, write and direct. They may not be to your tastes but hardly a one trick pony.

Didn't see it as it looked too much like what Gervais does, i.e. work out his own egoistic, self-absorbed neuroses for our supposed entertainment. That's his one trick, btw.

Mind you, very few did see it. Following last year's Ghost Town it's another box office bomb - a sharp reminder that for all the fawning press he's still a small player, not a big one.
