Man Utd have relied on 3 or 4 players to score the majority of their goals, whilst Chelsea's have been more evenly spread.
True, but not by much. Chelsea have 18 different scorers while Man Utd have 14 different scorers. Chelsea have 4 players that have scored 10+ goals, while Man Utd have 3 players on 10+.
I think you'll find that United's team on Wednesday is, on average, only about a year younger than Chelsea's
I know, that's why I clearly said 'squad', NOT 'team'. What were you saying about specsavers?
If you really think Chelsea have only played one decent game all season, I suggest a quick visit to Specsavers is in order.
I was talking about Europe, not the league. i thought that in the context of this thread, and my post as a whole, this was obvious?

Sorry Mike but i think Man U will just edge it by the odd goal.
Re: Champions League Final(chat and predictions)
Fair do's baggieb, but my question was,who do you WANT to win?,not who you THINK will win? !happy!

Sam:Chelsea can only play what's put in front of them, and if you think that trips to intimidating grounds such as Olimpiakos and Fenerbache's are 'easy' not forgetting Rosenberg(Norway) in the height of their winter ending off with a tough semi against arguably the European Cup's most experienced candidates(Liverpool),then Bob's right.
You really should go to specsavers.Sam Slater wrote:

The controversial Champion's League final playing surface will be worse than the average Premier League pitch, the chief groundsman has admitted today.

The result is a toss of the coin to me

Never said they weren't intimidating, or easy, I just said Chelsea had the 'easiest' run-in of the other teams. You cannot deny that man Utd's run-in of Lyon, Roma and Barca was the harder, surely?
Since you and Bob read things in my posts that aren't there, it really is ironic that you both bring specsavers up....it really is.
Oh, and talking of Turkey......oh, never mind !laugh!

Re: Champions League Final(chat and predictions)
The team's are only 'names' at the end of the day Sam.
The way the talk is going atm ie:It's a Man U win 'on paper'.
Luckily for Chelsea, football is played on grass.
And as for 'buying' success,(not that you mentioned it).Does that mean that Pompey bought the FA Cup?,or Spurs bought the Carling Cup?
Everybody is doing it these days. It's about the have's and have not's.

Re: Champions League Final(chat and predictions)
How thick are some players?? It frightens me at times.
Just watching Sky Sports News (due to the rather stunning Georgie Thompson being on!) and they were watching a Chelsea training session live. The day before the match Claude Makalele lunged in to a challenge on Ashley Cole, if it was a Premiership match it would have risked a red card. Ashley Cole is now live on TV almost crying as he knows he is a serious doubt for the game.
Why would a player lunge in like that in a very low key training session

Players can get caught in the moment, and we(Chelsea) always have Wayne Bridge to deputise.
I'm sure Cashley will shrug it off,and make the team for tomorrow.
Btw,you're right about Georgie Thompson !love!NeilUK wrote:

Well, not really. I think that as a fan, you must have been pleased with Chelsea's draws this season. You can't tell me Chelsea would have had an easier draw playing Barca, Roma and Lyon....I'm not having that. They're not just names, they're teams.
Anyway, I was only giving my reasons why I want a Man Utd win, Mike. It was you & Bob that started throwing the 'specsavers' digs around. A bit childish really....
Luckily for Chelsea, football is played on grass.
Well, it is Moscow, but yeah, grass, hopefully.
And as for 'buying' success,(not that you mentioned it).
Nope, you're right; I never mentioned money.
