You seem to forget that you were offered 40,000 tickets to start with, before being allowed more (because Hartlepool couldn't sell their allocation) whereas both Arsenal and Chelsea were only offered 30,000 each. Both clubs sold their allocations very quickly, but with no other tickets available, 30,000 is all that could go from each club.

Yet another example of a Sam Slater post that twists the facts.

"But how to make Liverpool economically prosperous? If only there was some way for Liverpudlians to profit from going on and on about the past in a whiny voice."

Touchy touchy.

I never twisted the facts at all. I never said Arsenal & Chelsea 'couldnt' fill the Millenium Stadium with more fans (Arsenal could easily), I just stated they didn't.

I also stated we were offered 6000 more tickets, and lot's of Wednesday fans drove upto Hartlepool to but their tickets. I see no twists Bob.

For a league 1 club (at the time) I thought it was a fucking good showing!
Another example of Bob getting the wrong end of the stick.

You a Chelsea supporter Bob? As Mourinho would say: !shush!

The suggestion of your post (..."we still took more fans to Cardiff for the League one playoff final than Arsenal or Chelsea took in the Coca-Cola cup final this year!...") was that Wednesday are better supported than either Arsenal or Chelsea because they took more fans to Cardiff than either of those two clubs.

Wednesday were playing a nothing team in a nothing play-off game where very few seats would have been allocated to dignitaries, corporate sponsors and the like... and let's face it, even a day trip to Cardiff counts as a special day out for any poor soul living in such a dump as Sheffield! No wonder so many travelled on the day... I bet they were glad to get out of their hovels for a few hours!

......and I followed it up with "We got offered 40,000 which were sold out within a few hours, were granted 6000 more which went in 20 mins, and the rest travelled up to Hartlepool and purchased their tickets." which explained the number.

As for everything else Bob........where did you learn that charm? !shocked!
All I see you do is pick up on peoples spelling, or call people on here you don't agree with, 'tosser!' Now because a Wednesdayite came on here and dared to point out we took a lot of fans to Cardiff, you're blood pressure shot up and you start questioning my 'fact stating' ability, and slagging off a whole City in the process! !laugh!

I don't know what 'quack doctor' you go to, but he's put you on the wrong medication dear fellow. To show my concern I googled 'Tai Chi' around the Chelsea/Kensington area which may help relieve stress and anxiety. Take a look here.

You've been quite nasty, irritable and rude for quite a while now Bob so I hope you get better soon.

If Tai Chi doesn't help then it may be a chemical imbalance within the brain. Certain emotions -like fear- are processed in the more privative parts where as contentment is a more computed feeling. (you have to know the reason why you're content, so has more to do with the grey matter in the frontal lobes) Fear isn't like that which is why we jump when someone frightens us unexpectedly. Anger is sort of in between. It's closely associated with the amygdala but is usually subdued when passing through the frontal lobes. People with anger management issues have a problem with this part of the process of the emotion. It turns off the 'appropriate behaviour' mechanism.

Maybe it's something you should look into Bob? Preferably before Manchester Utd win the Premiership? God knows what you're attitude will be, come May!

Unless Leeds find a stupidly rich, and basically stupid investor they will become a minor club. Millions frittered away by corrupt directors and one shit player after another on very good wages. A shame but having KB in charge is a bit like Dawn French looking after the salad bar, waste of time.

See you at Brunton park next season! A long time since Leeds played Carlisle. Difference now is we have a solvent, multi-millionaire chairman who rebuilt our ground at virtually cost price after the 2005 floods. His number 2 is the ex factory manager at Pirelli and a seriously shrewd operator who has no truck with greasy football agents or con artists. Pity Leeds can't have an owner who wants to make the club rich, not himself.

Ok maybe we haven't been down as far position wise and I do think we are going down to the 3rd Division for the first time. However I was watching them in the early to mid 80's and believe me we were worse then.! The quality of football was extremely poor, an overweight 40 odd year old Peter Lorimer and the legendary Eddie Gray were playing for us and despite the fact that Eddie couldn't lift his legs off the ground much because of his destroyed hamstrings, the two of them were easily 3 classes apart from everyone else, including the opposition. We were one more home draw away from the 3rd Division then until Billy Bremner took over, and then we were down there again a couple of years later, until Howard Wilkinson took over and sorted it all out.
Its going to take a long while but Leeds will be back. Man City managed it, and so will Leeds
