Re: Racist bullying on Celebrity Big Brother

Post by one eyed jack »

With all thats been said and done, I've agreed to drop this case as Raj has sent me an apology:

Hi Terry,

Ive thought long and hard about what ive done and what a twat ive been. You were just expressing your own views on the matter and I really blew it out of proportion. So this is a genuine apology to say that im sorry and didnt mean you any disrespect. I wasnt drunk or under the influence of drugs and knew exactly what I was saying and to whom I was saying it too. Im not a racist at all and thats why I didnt continue to keep calling you silly names. So hope we can put this at rest and carry on happily with our lives. Im asian myself and have been a victim of racial discrimination so it doesnt make sense for me to call another coloured person what I did. Just out of anger and hatred at that moment in time.

Thx
RD

The moral to all this is, people should stop and think about what they say before saying it as like Jade Goody getting booted out of BB, people are responsible for their actions. Raj has apologised and I would be only bull headed and arrogant if I did not reciprocate in kind.

There endeth the lesson. Go forth in peace.

The News Of The World have bought Jade Goody's story, apparently.

If you're going to insinuate that that quote of mine is 'despicable', then it would be polite to give a good reason.

If you don't think my assumption is 'despicable' but just 'wrong' then that would be just differing opinions, which we could discuss.

I do think that white people are less likely to be taken seriously if they complained of racist abuse, and I do think that this is because most white people feel 'guilt' about the past. If guilt is too strong a word, then how about feeling uncomfortable, to a point that they'd feel a little embarrassed to complain?

"White Men Can't Jump" is a funny film, and passed the censors easily enough. Imagine a similar themed film like 'Black Men Can't Swim' being on the shelves at HMV? Now, would that title sit comfortably with you? Deep down?

If I've come to this assumption, ask yourself why I have? Also question yourself, and your assumptions on why you think my post was despicable. Think objectively and clear your head of colour. Clear your head of trying to sound like a 'good moral guy', and clear your head of tabloid hysteria.

Don't let emotions interfere. We saw with Raj that that's a bad idea.

I'm not saying I'm right, I just have the feeling I am, when I think about it objectively.

I cannot believe this guy!

The following line stuck out like a sore thumb for me, and I wonder how many saw this?
Im asian myself and have been a victim of racial discrimination so it doesnt make sense for me to call another coloured person what I did.
Another 'coloured' person.

So 'white shits' is fine because that wasn't directed at black or asian people.

Shouldn't he have said, 'Im asian myself and have been a victim of racial discrimination so it doesnt make sense for me to call 'ANY OTHER' person what I did.'

Anyway, I'm glad you got your apology Terry!

Hypocrite? Racist views? Disgusting?

Why? Because I'm comfortable about pointing out things other people may be uncomfortable with?

Oooh, a new member that's only started posting for 10 mins with 3 posts to their name (2 attacking me with no facts to back up their view, only their own blind assumptions).
Wow youre proud to be white arent you.
What's your point?
I sense a hint of hostility or are you just a shit-stirrer and want to make more trouble.
The hostility seems to be coming from you. As for shit stirring, you've only made 3 posts since joining and 2 are attacking my views followed by insinuating I'm a closet racist. Who's the shit stirrer?

Seems like your using this guilt thing to keep me quite. !laugh!
