I'd have to dissagree slightly. Lets remember that Escorts aren't supposed to exchange sex for cash. So a real escort isn't a prostitute. Girls that call themselves escorts that get paid to have sex are really, 'prostitutes dressed as escorts.'

Pornstars cannot be concidered prostituting themselves because the 'client' is a photographer/directer/producer, not the person engaging in sex with the pornstar.

A pornstar is getting paid to perform a sexual act with another performer while being filmed. They're not being paid for the actual 'act', just the viewing/recording of that act.

P.O.V movies sometimes cross this boundery though. If the director is having sex -while filming it- then is he paying for the sexual act or the filming of that act? Only he really knows, but in the performers mind, she's getting paid to be filmed having sex.

A prostitute has to be female -usually- to be a prostitute, yet being female isn't a crime, only the prostitution. So if a performer is performing a sexual act, but only getting paid for the filming the 'performance' then it's not prostitution.

Don't get me started on pornstars whom escort as well. Performers go to great lengths being tested, & trying their best to avoid STD's only for some performers to do 3 escorting jobs -with God knows who- over the weekend, then shoot sex scenes with fellow performers during the week. This puts performers -who don't escort- at a greater risk of contracting STD's without the 'payoff' in cash the escort/performer got.

If a performer isn't getting booked enough, and has to resort to prostitution for extra money, then they're not as good at performing as they make out and should quit the industry. Doing both types of work is just playing with other peoples health.

Yes but surely you cannot expect an adult performer to only have sex with other adult performers, if a girl is out for the night and meets a guy and fancys a quick shag is she going to think well he is not in the industry so i wont have sex with him, i think not so whats the difference if the girl does it for money, the main thing is regular testing and upto date certs if you are in the industry and having unprotected sex!happy!

Interesting points and in hindsight I'd agree with a lot of them.

Escort IMO has basically become higher priced whore. They all have a disclaimer about 'anything that happens between mature adults etc.'. It's not hard to read what they're getting at.
Anyway....
Let's say I get off on watching two women got at it (as it were). Voyeur fantasy; that kind of thing. If I pay two prostitutes to perform this act for me and I'm uninvolved apart from handing money over that is essentially the same as what pornstars are doing, just this is unfilmed work for an amateur.

When a girl does porn she is mainly working with guys who are there for the money also?

There's a difference though......

Men who frequently use escorts/prostitutes are at a higher risk of contracting STD's than your average guy. So a pornstar who escorts/prostitutes has more of a chance of catching something from a guy who regularly pays for sex, than your 'average Joe' who she may meet in a club.

Remember that a popular pornstar on the 'escorting circuit' could easily get clients everyday of the week. Not many girls pull blokes -for sex in clubs- everyday of the week, so if we're talking about 'minimising risks' then escorting/prostitution is the greater risk. It's not fair on the other performers who have regular partners and do their best to keep 'STD free'.

I agree with Sam Slater about the health risk but i dont see how you can really know which girls are doing both Escorting and Modelling i also know that some girls who escort will go bareback for extra money, so basically we have to rely on upto date certs and make sure they are not dodgy ones there has been plenty of advice on certs previously on these forums, but i do not agree that a girl who escorts and models must be a bad performer i know girls who do both and they have been great performers in front of a camera!love!
