What about the of influence popular culture is having on the next generation?
Arsehole programmes like Big Brother and twatty publications like Heat magazine are bending and warping the minds of decent kids- they are propogating the myth that you have to an arsehole to get ahead, and that negative personality traits (annoying bolshy loudness, eg) are a good thing, and that if you are not some form of celeb your net self-worth is zero.
I aspired to the likes of Muhammad Ali, Billy Connolly, Billy McNeill, Jimmy Stewart, even JC himself*.......... kids these days? Jade Goody, Anthony Hutton, Orlaith 'bee-stings' McAllister- hardly good self-ideals to have!!
This cultural carpet-bombing of dross on a nation is akin to the propaganda machine of that lovely fella who balanced a bit of burnt toast on his upper lip !adolf! , and whilst not fostering an Ayrian race, is nurturing tainted philistines who just don't know any better. They have no concept of what 'good' is. Shame.
We should have a charmed uprising- tweed for the kids!!!! The UK is a creche for dicks and twats; Scotland ain't too bad though! Yet.........
*no, not Clarkson. The other guy, on the cross.
Why is the UK so full of dicks!

why would i do that, to me, that would be even more plebby and just trying to pretend to know / be something that i am not. I am sure the waitress would have preferred to not have endured my poor, patronising and shocking efforts at french!

If a french person didnt speak english, id be very, very shocked - sadly as mentioned earlier we all know that the majority of our european counterparts speak basic english, sadly, its not the other way round. This does make us arseholes - i agree.
