best british band

Post by dave78 »

In your opinion, who have been the best British band thus far?
I'm sure that many would choose The Beatles if for no other reason than their sheer musical diversity. For me personally, as a Mancunian and somebody who loves dance music, it has to be New Order.

I for one wouldn't choose The Beatles.

There's no denying the impact they had in their day, but as musicians I think they're vastly overrated.

They're arguably the most "important" British band, but certainly not the "best".

A toss up between The Beatles and Girls Aloud.

Oo-er....sounds a bit rude.
