Goes hand in hand (but further in private ......) with the Gay Mafia running the country.
Re: Angels - Best song of the past 25 Years
No, its not the gay mafia, thats a story spread by the Freemasons who really run the country.

I'm certainly not a doughnut and I listen to Radio 2 (only because I can't stomach the "pap" that the Top 40 commercial stations pump out over and over again 24 hours a day, also all the adverts they run really gets on my tits).
I would definately agree that Angels certainly isn't the best song of the last 25 years (it doesn't even enter the top 500 as far as I'm concerned).
However, at the moment I'm listening to Radio Caroline on the Internet (over 40 years and still going strong) and, and far as I'm concerend, they do play some great music. Give them a try, go to and click the Listen Live button. Also available on Sky Digital as well (but not on the Sky EPG, you have to tune in manually, I'll get the tuning details later).

Radio 2 - I listen sometimes, but does that station know what it is???
During the day it's ok, but in the evening and at times during the weekend it descends into trash with programs like The Organist Entertains, Jazz Crap, Michael Parkinson Talks Shite and LULU (aaaaagh !!!) - and some old fart digging out crap from 1920.
I've no objection to people listening to that sort of stuff, but a station needs some sort of identity - and Radio 2 is just a Mix 'n' Match of everything and anything. There's some stupid program on about World Music that flits from Reggae to AfricanDrums to Chinese Opera and back to Scottish Folk, in other words a hotch potch of rubbish of interest only to the 'music aficionados' who put it together.
All these strands of music need their own digital channels and they can broadcast 24 hours a dayt to their 150 fans worldwide.
BBC = Waste of money
