Two or more consenting adults should be able to perform whatever sex acts they wish to on each other, and consenting adults who wish to watch such acts should be allowed to. I have this view, a view which I'm proud to have.
They can take shits in each others mouths all day long for all I care, and Mr consumer can jerk off to it as much as he wants. It's no business of mine. As long as no unwilling participant is involved anywhere along the line I have no problem with it.
Whether I like the product or not is another matter, if I don't like it I simply don't buy it. But I don't try to get someone to introduce "standards" so that such a product cannot be made. That to me is more offensive than any sexual act between two adults ever commited to video tape.

Reading this bit again OD, it does kinda sound alot like a press release from the Vatican or any other argument for the case against pornography full stop.

Re: Gapers
With regard to the ?not much money in it? reference. I was of course talking about it from a UK perspective. Though there is still plenty of money to be made in the US, if that means abusing naff trailer park teenies (unpalatable though they may be) I have no interest in it and I don?t want any part of it. I cancelled my subscription to AVN years ago.
I have never suggested that there aren?t people out there who want to see ?gapers? and such like. Of course there are (and I agreed that there were in my previous post) and hey, I would defend their right to indulge, just as I would defend the right of free speech, regardless of whether I agreed with what was being said or not. The wider point I was getting at vis-?-vis why there is a plethora of extreme gonzo gear out there, was that many of the people who are making porn today are not representative of Joe Average, they live for porn, they eat it, sleep it, and stew in it. They are not detached and objective about it. In there little world double anal ATM?s, DP?s and hot cream pie gapers are part of the wallpaper. They love it, they love the porn life and blithely assume that is what everyone else wants to see ? not that they have ever thought about it or have experience of retail - they seem to have simply arrived at that conclusion by osmosis. It has become received wisdom to them.
You suggest I?m trying to ?enforce? my standards on everyone else. But if I could just draw your attention to the last paragraph in my last post I did acknowledge and respect your freedom to indulge in as much ?gaping action? as you liked, I simply reserved the right to turn my nose up at it. This is what I said, so I don?t quite understand your suggestion of my trying to ?enforce? my standards.
?Hey, I?m certainly not saying ?gapers? and related fringe interests should be banned. Like you pointed out, it?s probably not causing anyone any real physical harm, and I understand, that if ya? gotta do it, ya? gotta do it. All I?m saying is that it?s valid and necessary for those with ?ordinary, mainstream? sexual appetites to freely turn their noses up at it, while still respecting the freedom of those that feel so inclined.?
Even if I could enforce my standards I?d view it as an unsatisfactory or hollow victory ? a victory achieved by artificially preventing people from doing what they really wanted to do. No, I would much rather lay down a rational case which will hopefully make some people think, ?Hey, that?s right. I?ve noticed that. He?s got a point. Hmmm??
?It seems to me that you don't like the fact that the game has changed and progressed.?
No I don?t, I find it pretty tacky, tedious, and distasteful nowadays. And there are plenty of others who would dispute your description of ?progress? to what has happened to adult entertainment in the past decade.
?I just find it wrong that you wish to destroy the kind of pornography you don't care for.?
Like I said, I don?t ?wish to destroy it?? Well, OK?maybe just undermine it a little... Hey, isn't Max Hardcore into 'gapers'?

Re: Gapers
May I make a suggestion that these kind of attitudes are just one of the reasons why the UK lags behind the rest of the world when it comes to producing Porn. If you guys are typical of what the 'average' punter wants then maybe that's the reason why UK porn(in general) is much much tamer than US and european product, as producers are trying to sell to you.
On one hand you say that there's no money in UK porn, yet on the other you want the style of porn that was made 15 years ago. Porn is no different to any other business in the sense that if you don't move with the times you get left behind.

Re: Gapers
I agree with Luke. That dinosaur attitude saying only "vanilla" porn is good is the reason why the UK's porn industry is so far behind that of other countries.
I never knew porn was erotic in the first place. If you want erotic, why not go for one of those Shannon Tweed films?
