Agree that R18 standard material will eventually be available onscreen. I think the fact that Ofcom have covertly responded to the ongoing Euro regulation debate, kind of gives the game away if you read between the lines.
I will be interested to see how many further channels we can expect in the coming months and whether Hustler reappear.

It probably will come because it's slowly dawning on them they can't stop the Euro channels gaining market share any other way .. and the longer they wait the more customers are lost forever. But it's too little too late as is always the case in the UK ... it won't be any big deal.

I doubt it I heard this week ofcom are doing their nut over complains because of the advertising on the SKY adult soft channels and a preparing to make access to them via PIN from a blue screen so you can't surf by accident, Not because they are going to allow R18 infact I also know for a fact three of the biggest players all with channels have signed on to IPTV systems. IPTV will be the only sure way you will get quality porn on TV. And it wont even require an 18R....Next week our 1500kbs demo goes live our first system goes into place the week after. We should be at the broadcast production show in two weeks playing with the big boys, we have Microsoft here next week and our first set-top box should arrive Friday,,,,,Smell the coffe lads and don't say I never told you when its to late,

I agree with you IPTV is the future for broadcasting. As for Sky's pin system, I really couldn't be bothered to type it in ... and if you had to re-key it if you flicked over to see the news headlines, what a polava. But at the moment there are lots of xxx channels on satellite to choose from - I've got access to 18 of them, so I don't really want any more.

However for the millions of us who can't get Satellite by any means but Sky dishes due to geography, dish size restrictions etc it really pisses me off some of the major producers are jumping ship from the same people who have watched their badly edited softcore shite for many years and paid good money. And if anybody mentions broadband I will scream, I have a 32 inch tv, I don't want to watch tv on a 15 or 17inch monitor.

I can assure you THE DEMAND FOR HARDCORE PORN ON SKY IS MASSIVE! I reckon ?10m a week earnings would be realistic.

Our local Private Shop guy tells me that its just a smoke screen and R18 will once again be denied. He also says that IPTV is to be included under some act but he does have an interest that way. After all HCP on your TV must loose him trade.

Now then about your satelitte problems. The European stuff is now even easier to get and you can even purchase a portable dish for a couple of hundred. Decoders are the same and then you can watch proper porn 24/7 on your big massive 32inch until your eyes close. Currently you can get a 12 month subscription deal to 4 chanells for under ?100.

I am watchin IPTV on my 52inch Tosh rear project at 1100kbs looks fine to me. IPTV like is implies is to TV. To prevent Porn on IPTV they would need to block the internet. Which is why the UK guys need to on this quick so we can make a few quid before like digi says it saturated. Good news is the set top only arrives this week and that is a help coz we are in at the shap end.
