as the owner of a couple of shops i have found that the gg genre is more diverse than one might expect. we get requests from lesbians looking for films by lesbians for lesbians. we get requests for titles with no toys or plenty of toys. then we get requests for all the body types, hair colours, skin colours, nationalities etc. we just try to keep as diverse a selection as possible. i do concede that they are not our best sellers but they warrent shelf space.

Girl-Girl movies are far from dead!! There is a bigger following for this as a lot of males as females like this genre.

You only have to check out the forums at lezlovevideo & the movies they sell.
Not forgetting some of Viv Thomas's movies, some quality girl-girl stuff. I guess it all depends how it is all done. Many people don't like stuff with toys & many do...etc..etc..
There is some good girl-girl stuff out there!! and the genre ain't dead thats for sure!

Yes I understand that but if the genre wasn't in demand then nobody would be buying the product at those prices

The only other equivalent genre I can think of is big boobs
ie score videos.Charge what they like compared to your run of the mill b/g porno

Bad...very Bad mainly because thats all they do before jumping straight to the toys.I liken it to watching a girl performing a BJ and not venturing below the head of the cock

What kind of kissing?....In a word...believable...ie...full on the lips is always nice but is the exception rather than the rule...sad to say that I've seen better kissing scenes in 18 softcore like Mayfair the Video than in many Pornos and thats high & low valued productions

A lot depends on the girls...even the good producers have made some lemons but then if a girl is only there for the money thers really nothing you can do but shoot it

Less is always more IMHO.

I'll take Class tittillate & tease over a passionless lubed toy"both holes please" story anyday

Animation is your best bet

When you see the likes of Blake & Ninn works being offered in OZ as box sets of 6 for 30Pounds you know the likelyhood of newer efforts of the same quality being funded/made are minimal

Europes just about been mined out IMHO

The same Girls are appearing again & again

Saturation its a Killer

Im bisexual and i enjoy it 100% ;)
I charge the same as any other model who does girl/girl i usually end up doing it for a set price like most girls do when you get offered a job. I get great results when im with a girl i find sexy and im genuinely enjoying it! I suppose the fact im not blonde or sexy puts people off wanting to book me to do these shoots but when you have a genuine bisexual model it seems weird to me why people arent more willing to use me!

Thanks to all for your comments guys and gals - I will monitor it over the next few weeks and see if the trend continues. Maybe I just need to look at stocking other G/G titles rather than the ones I have currently - who knows!

You make a good point Emmab

Performance vs Looks

As Nadia/Andrea Spinks proved...you don't need to be 36-24-36 and blonde
but you do need to cultivate an attitude

Who knows why Producers use some girls and not others especially as the much aspoused comment that all Films sell the same amount-I still wonder about this comment

cheers

If it's not already dead, it's on it's last legs! 'Lesbian Lovers' (which has nine scenes and is over three hours long!) sells less than the least popular of the boy/girl titles that I do. Punter power at work it seems.

Thats what I have seen too John - I stock I think every title of yours from Rude Britannia and the B/G sells well but the G/G just aint going anywhere! I was genuinely expecting that title to do well cos its cracking value for money but it just aint floating anyones boat!

This is interesting. I often wonder if part of the reason girl-girl took off in the first place was because certain males felt insecure about their own sexualities watching a scene with a blokes hairy ass in it. I've certainly heard this point of view touted many times on sites which only feature girl girl and solo and when someone has suggested introducing some blokes into the mix.

At the same time I think this coincided politically and culturally with a certain relaxation of the law which made it easier to get away with greater explicitness in solo and girl-girl scenes.

If that is the case then maybe both these phenomena were simply artifacts of the relative newness of full blown boy-girl hardcore and now it is more widely available and socially legitimate maybe punters have simply got over their previous hangups.

I don't think these are the only reasons, there is also a certain beauty watching two beautiful and sexy women making love, and I have to admit there is also a fascination in watching how women turn themselves and other women on - I've probably learnt a lot about female sexuality this way. But maybe these tendencies are comparitively less predominant on the level of society as a whole.

Still I hope it does not die out altogether.
