Is the GG genre dead?

Post by R18 DVD Shop »

As header, in last few weeks we have been doing phenominally well in sales of B/G etc but absolutely shag all for G/G. We have sold like 3 GG movies compared to over 200 BG so a general question to forumites and producers alike - do you see any future for pure GG only movies?

GG is and always has been a popular choice with my customers.
We've been concentrating more on solo lately but will be shooting some new GG soon.

My market's never really been BG so it just depends what your customers want I suppose.

I was told by a US model agent that only 5% of the work over there is g/g these days, so....

thats what I had heard too - the net effect of my experiences are I wont be so keen to buy G/G titles in future as they dont sell so the (eventual) knock on is felt by models at the end of the food chain

GG is really a specialised genre that is best left to girly sites or firms and formats that concentrate on the girls themselves - like Fiona Cooper, just for instance. If a geezer is in that particular market those are the places he will look because they specialise in it, understand it, and will have a far wider choice than an outlet that is just trying to cover all bases.

No, its not dead.

Have a look at Les Perversions 1 and 2. There are some very hoy girls who do g/g and not b/g.They can be just as horny and should not be criticised 'cos of their limits. They do this for a number of reasons, including safety plus the fact that girls know how to make girls come much better then guys.

Example of a very hot g/g model is Kelle-Marie.............from Wales!!

You only need look at the to see it is anything but dead if prices are anything to judge the genre by

I think over the years there has been so much inferior crap produced
that the genre is still suffering from it ie kissing with tongues being the worst IMHO

IMHO G/G has to have high production values

Specifically films from the likes of Vivthomas,Andrew Blake,Michael Ninn

cheers

The high prices are to do with the economies of scale involved - smaller niche genre, smaller market, less potential sales than BG. So if you are going to make a profit or get a reasonable return, you have to charge more for the few items you do sell. Think of it like this - there are two car dealerships on he High street, both selling Fords. They both have the same rent, rates, etc. Dealer A might have a market for 500 Fiestas a year. But dealer B might only has a market for 250 cars a year (for whatever reason). So he needs twice the profit margin on his 250 cars to pay the rent and maintain his position on the High St than the Ford dealer would on his 500. In short, if you are only going to be selling a few they have to cost more than if you are selling a load. Which is one of the reasons (apart from the quality of the materials and engineering involved) why Rolls Royce?s are so expensive.

Don?t understand what you mean about ?kissing with tongues? Are you saying it?s good and there should be more? Or bad and there should be less? And if you were saying less, what kind of kissing would you welcome?

I agree that GG is much more suited to high production values. There are some awful GG's doing the rounds at the mo with scraggy scrubbers doing unspeakable, yucky, things to each other.

But if you want us to make films like Mike Ninn and Andrew Blake, pray where do we find Andrew Blake calibre models? I only know of Kellemarie and a couple of others. I?ll have to ask her if she if she can bring some of her international glamour pals, like Aria Giovanni, round my gaff ? Hey, I?d bung her ?100 quid for the day, no problem.
