Emma,

If he is using illegal material, can't you threaten him with solicitors? I bet he would release the web address. Its also possible he is lying about the website just to get you to text him so he has your number. I would speak to a solicitor and also trace the ISP. People like this are cowards and back off when they realise their targets are brighter than them.

There is no way unless you are the Police or and ISP that you can get addresses and personal details (Data Protection Act).

I would suggest you go to [url]http://www.btconnect.com[url] , at the bottom is a contact page, click that, then click the "make a complaint" link. There is an on-line form to fill in, let his ISP give him a bollocking or cut him off.

As I said Emma I'm not sure myself but I will email my mate this afternoon and ask him how it's done. I know several people who have done this to get weirdo's and idiots to back off.

I take Little Jake's point about the Data Protection Act but you can find alot of things out about alot of people if you know how.

Alternatively Emma email Snake Diamond privately (who posted earlier in this thread) as he seemed to know how to trace someone through an ISP.

Best to keep this stuff off the forum so as not annoy the mods.

i've edited your initial post, as well as some subject headers, to remove the photographer's email address. this has been done in accordance with section 3.9 of the faq. please read it for an explanation of our policy on naming and shaming.

This must be a first but for once I am in total agreement with Officer Dibble. I am suspicious almost to the point of paranoia until I get references off models that I know have worked with photographers. You get so many people mailing you offering work and it is only sensible to check them out as thoroughly as you can before even entertaining the idea of stripping naked in front of them!! The vast majority do tend to disappear when asked to provide references!!

fair points BUT everyone has to start somewhere so there has to be a balance I guess - if someone is a first timer and are open about their name, address, telephone number etc and dont mind u bringing alone a chaperone etc then it shouldnt be a problem. However, at the end of the day its the models safety which is paramount so its down to personal choice but if everyone is really strict in their booking criteria then we could potentially stand to lose new directing talent at the first hurdle!

Sorry guys I got my terminology wrong. I meant IP address and not ISP.

This is all I have been able to come up with so far so click on this to see if it's any help.

I'll keep digging.
