cheers chaps. turns out i'm running at about 300k! frankly i'm sick of bt and their paper thin excuses. can anyone recommend another landline provider other than bt (i can't get cable here) or i'm i stuck with them? tried hunting but it seems all i can get are isps - i'm not daft enough to use bt's ...

for about a month now my pc has been slowing down to a crawl particularly when downloading (100mb took nearly 3 hours!) and the pc itself is sluggish i did a reboot from scratch reinstalling xp and everything but the problem remains. any ideas? i really need your help with this one guys any aide ...
