looking at this thread the disk drive not loading discs all of a sudden seems to have happened to a few people

will do peter,if i wanted to revert back to an earlier software version like 2.40 or 2.41 can you do that ?if so any idea how or do sony only let you d/l the newest version 2.42 which is what caused the issue i reckon

my restore didnt work so just phoned sony and they said new ps3 will be delivered on tuesday so hopefully it will be

didnt fancy the idea of a second hand one as mine is only a few weeks old and has hardly been used and is immaculate,watched 1 film and played guitar hero about 6 times

did you do a full ps3 format when you had the disc problem peter? thats what im trying now got 55mins to go to see if that sorts it

after you phoned them how many days was it before you got it fixed replaced mrmcfister

any one else with a ps3 had the issue of it not playing discs of any sort all of a sudden,just happened to mine its only 6 weeks old,sony just told me to restore ps3 system so gotta wait 2hrs 29 minutes now to see if it sorts it

i wanted to play flv files stored locally im my vids and i dont think it would do it
if i was streaming flash video to ie7 it would

player,downloaded some flv files but need a player to open them with to watch them any help/recomendations be appreciated thanks so much
