ps3 troubles

my restore didnt work so just phoned sony and they said new ps3 will be delivered on tuesday so hopefully it will be

Just give them the console, no leads, controllers etc.

will do peter,if i wanted to revert back to an earlier software version like 2.40 or 2.41 can you do that ?if so any idea how or do sony only let you d/l the newest version 2.42 which is what caused the issue i reckon

It seems every PS3 has to have a dodgy disk drive by law!

Doubt you can load anything but the latest version of the software. Just use the new one as normal and forget about it. Mine works fine now. (If it breaks tomorrow I'm coming after you!)

looking at this thread the disk drive not loading discs all of a sudden seems to have happened to a few people
