'The Right Stuff' / OT I guess

Post by The Axe Man »

These brave people have been my hero's since I was a kid watching the Apollo missions...they really do have 'The Right Stuff'. My thoughts are with the families and everybody at NASA.

I agree!! Living at the moment in Colorado Springs where Space is part and parcel of the culture here the loss has been deeply felt. May the families find closer and peace.

Was it "One small step for man,one giant leap for mankind"
Makes you think about life when these things happen. I too saw the orginal moon landings, seemed a dawn of a new era, not so sure now!

You are right about the golf. They also drove a buggy around the moon. I now think of Pink Floyds "Dark Side Of The Moon"

.....and good to see that in this overly risk-averse age the programme is to continue after appropriate checks.
Then, especially, the crew will not have died in vain.
