tamara promotions

Post by Bill Rose »

Does anybody have a subscription to their web site and, if so, any idea how to cancel? I can not access the site, have e-mailed them several times (no answer), tried phoning (also no answer) - they just continue to take money from my card. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

If you have emailed requesting cancellation and got no response just get your bank to dishonour the payments

Pretty simple to me

I was a member a long time ago and couldn't access the site
until they had reset the user & password

Personally I wouldn't bother with the site
Small low quality pictures
Streaming Videos via my 56k modem were forgettable...a lot of them but not high quality

As for the promised 1 hour free CD...it never arrived
My emails asking why got no response

cheers

Thanks Guys - unfortunately it's on a credit card and can't be cancelled. I cancelled the card and got a new one but the cc company just tranferred the payments to my new card - I seem to be stuck.

No way Jose. Thresaten your credit card with legal action. You sanction payment not the receiver. They will cancel forthwith!

You've got to be kidding

Its a clear case of goods not received

I don't know what laws you're working under in the UK but in Australia if nothing happens within in 60 days of the date of purchase the charge is charged back to the collecting Bank

I'll pass on the membership bit as I've never signed up for
one.One of my better adult strategies I'd suggest,on the basis
of 20 duds for every good'un.

I did post on Tamara a while back, trying to get some info on obtaining the export versions mentioned in the database.
Anyhow, I tried a few avenues suggested privately but to no avail.

Apart from their newest releases, the majority carry the old 18 cert as opposed to R18- which in my view makes them an extremely limp use of ?15 (todge fortune intact-sorry Tamara)

Now that's hardly their fault, and extremely noble that
they took the BBFC route at all.
But I think it's more than a little naughty not to make greater
play of the certification in either their website or catalogue.
I mean I could be extreeemly cynical and say that's why the
video sleeves on the site are unreadable.
Mind you,the pics as arranged in the cat are also misleading
if you cross ref them with BGAFD.

So assuming that, I just thought I'd point it out-as not everyone
will know about 18 + R18 (if you don't, take a look at the BGAFD
"miscellany" page for the info)
Whether the Tamara R18's are any good, perhaps some good folk
could let us all know.

You'd think so Steve but (and I quote from the cc company on this):-
"once you have given a merchant authority to charge your Credit Card account at regular intervals, these charges have to be accepted by us. As the agreement was made between the merchant and yourself, you will have to contact them direct to cancel this"

ask the Post Ofiice for their address: OK so they have a PO Box number - but trust me on this one ask the Post Office who owns the PO Box Number and they will tell you.

Its a little known fact that PO Box numbers are not as private as they may seem.

Now you have thier address and you can go and visit them and ask for a refund or what ever.

of course you could have another credit card from another company transfer all of your balance and close the account of your old one.

Contact them on 0845 7950 950, If that isn't the right number they'll be able to give you the right one. I think from memory you'll only get the address of the registered keeper of the PO Box and not the name.
