over the last couple of years quite afew amatuer togs, web site owners and models ive met have expressed they do well out of it.

it seems to be a fairly niche site so possibly not the right place for mainstreme or generic porn.

I've been on clips4sale.com for a while now, and it is definitey worth trying. The stores are free and easy to set up, and the profit split is in your favor.

I use the clip stores as a place to sort out content for upcoming sites, and also as a place to sell scenes on a pay-per-view basis, for people who are reluctant to join a membership site.

To make any real profits you have to find a niche that appeals to the quirky demographic, and you need to update very frequently.

Here are a five of my stores for example, but I have over a dozen there now...

Videos sell MUCH better than images.

A few of our clients have accounts on those sites. Yes it's good for very special niches but not for mainstream porn. Also many punters complained about the high prices. The providers replied they cannot lower the price significantly, the system won't let them, the cheapest price you can set for a 30 min clip is $20 which is outrageous. Also the problem with clips4sale is the high number of providers and clips, unless you upload something very special or upload a clip every day, your hit numbers will be very low. Also no option previews.
Clips.com is a similar system with more flexible pricing, less crowded and generally better for mainstream.
The best thing you could do is to build your own site, do your marketing as you want and link your DOWNLOAD button to one of those sites if you don't want to mess with billing. Although they take half of your money...

this is exactly the response i thought id get.

it really does need to be niche doesnt it.
i put up a store (only in images for now) in the new year. Its currently one of the bigger stores and i update weekely, but its generic porn. My sets have more images than most so i charge about $7 per set but there is some material here that is world exclusive never ever seen before and i havent sold a thing.
Im being careful how i word my sets to try and make them niche specific ie: using keywords like blonde, stockings, uniforms but this doesnt seem to fool anyone.

Ive asked the guys there for tips on marketing and all they say is to update regualrly which i am.

I hear what ur saying about clips and vids maybe selling better so i will pull my finger out with that but im not even sure it will be worth all the bother of editing footage if im not going to sell anything.
i will give te clips.com a nosey as this sounds like it may be better for me.

We sell on clips4sale and it does nicely. The big thing is the traffic you get from the site. But most here are right, it should be niched and the more obscure the better. Hairy pussy does well.

A similar store at reasonable prices would in my opinion do well.

If you look at the stats do you know where your traffic is coming from?
