O/T something for the next party
Re: O/T something for the next party
Pretty ironic that Thai senators call it a disgrace to the dignity of Thai women, yet turn a blind eye to the booming prostitution and sex tourist industry of their country. Hypocrites!!
Re: O/T something for the next party
The Thai wine must be weak as gnats piss if she drank ten pints of the stuff. The event was to encourage people to drink Thai whiskey....as opposed to the inferior stuff produced in Scotland and Ireland....no thanks I'll stick to the stuff distilled in the British Isles. What next? Japanese Yorkshire Puddings?
Ace makes a valid point. The Thais should perhaps takle the rampant child abuse that goes on over there. Men from USA and Europe going on holiday to have sex with kids is far more damaging to Thailands image than some drunken woman staggering about.

Actually Magoo, the Japanese make excellent Whisky. Even Marcus who is a noted connesieur of Johnnie Walker would grudgingly give it a seal of approval. I believe their motorbikes and audio/video are quite decent too.
Joking aside, it REALLY annoys me certain Oriental countries allow their 'sex industry' (which is normally a front for child prostitution) continue as its a massive tourism revenue for the country involved.

Agreed Ace but what about Thai whisky? (or whiskey for Irish forumites)
And Mongolian Black Pudding is on the horizon never mind Japanese Yorkshire Puddings or Peruvian Lancashire Hot Pot. I suppose the Italians could quite rightly grumble about pizza and pasta sauces from a well known Liverpool based factory which carry the Italian logo on the packets and a small print disclaimer saying "produced in the UK".
Sorry I think I must be hungry what with all my rambling on about food.
My main gripe about this global market is that at one time good continental beers from abroad could be bought here e.g. Grolsch, Stella, Heineken, Orangeboom etc but now they are all brewed here under licence and as a result taste like shit. That Carlsberg ad on tv is misleading as the stuff has been brewed in Northampton for decades and is no more Danish than a chicken dansak (oops back to food again). Thankfully I get my beer from a white van which visits Belguim once a fortnight so I get the real deal at a fraction of the price...... must ask him if he can get me some Belgian haggis.
