AVI files should play easily in WMP latest version, if they dont
you should re-install it, the only files that can be tricky, are movies/mpegs that need the Div x codec, but you can download that free as well, also make sure your WMP is set to default to play all files, otherwise you may be opening another application such as q/time when trying to play them, first port of call, re-install or re-configure WMP, but be aware WMP wont play porn films!!

(just kidding)

cuppa??

you can even get the DivX player - worth it for the longer files!

Maybe the file is corrupted and the index needs to be rebuild.
You can try download Nimo codec-pack and use the divfix programme.

Nimo also contains all necessary codecs.

Hope this can be helpful.
