Hi,
I have noticed loads of people posting they are doing HiDef Video.
I am a little pissed as quite a few shoot high def and reduce it below 720p/i.
All my High Def is real High Def 1080p - not lame 720.
Admittably many people only have screens going to 720 but it pisses me off when I do real High Def Video at 1080 progressive.
For you out there with screens and PCs capable come to my site and see Real High Def Video. Over 46 videos in Hi Def. Sample here which is
Will point out it is progressive not interlaced not as specified on site.

If your really shooting at 1080p and advertising that as per "All my High Def is real High Def 1080p - not lame 720" then i would have expected the preview file to be 1080p as well, instead of 1080i
I can understand that you want to give your customers the very highest of quality, but in fast moving scenes interlaced video like that in the preview looks horrible and you would have been able to deliver a visually higher quality image by converting it to 720p. If you look at your preview you can already see the horrible interlaced lines, in the relatively slow scenes. To me i would rather have a 480p(dvd) video with no interlacing, rather than a 1080i (interlaced) video.

You can not tell the difference between 720 and 1080, sky hd tv is 720p
HD is HD and HD is only HD if your movie is the minnimum of 720p
interlaced is so much better than p aswell. Those un interlaced lines are bad for the movie

Was that a joke?
Maybe you cant tell the difference between 720p and 1080p but others can, i certainly can (maybe not on a 28" set, but bigger good quality sets i can and on my 1080p projector)
"interlaced is so much better than p aswell" - Lol
"Those un interlaced lines are bad for the movie" - Lol.
If it was a joke post, i apologise, if it wasnt then................i really dont know what to say.

Yeah of course they can
720p has a typical resolution of 1280x720, so if your desktop resolution is at least this, then you can see 720p in all its glory.
1080p has a resolution of 1920x1080, so you would require a desktop resolution of at least this to see 1080p in all its glory.
If your desktop resolution is lower than the source, then you can still watch it, you will just be throwing away some of the pixels/quality as it will obviously not fit on your screen.
Almost all 17" and above monitors support a native resolution of 1280x1024, so watching 720p is fine.

Actually although 1080 is technically a higher resolution 720 produces a smoother high def picture when it comes to motion on the screen.
Re: Got a real High Def TV?? Check my videos
If you meant 1080i, then it does give a smoother motion for things such as live events (football being one of them). But for films it does nothing, as its almost always recorded at 24fps
If you meant 1080p then its exactly the same as 720p with the exception of the resolution and the more powerfull hardware needed to decode it.

It is 1080P not 1080i - mislabelled as mentioned elsewhere
