A big problem in the adult indsutry at the moment

Post by Tequila_Woods »

Why is there such an epidemic of STDs (particularly gonnorhea and clamydiah) at the moment??

We all know that there is a risk in the adult biz that you could catch something but the amount of it going around at the moment is ridiculous.

Iv heard about performers faking certs, working when they know they have something and allsorts.

Its just not on people. For the sake of a couple of hundred quid performers are knowingly passing diseases round like nobodys business.

All performers have a responsibility to be having unprotected sex only with people who have full certs...At the end of the day, these STDs come from somewhere dont they...From the performers who arent being responsible and are having unprotected sex with untested people. What you do and who you sleep with off set isnt something thats personal to you, because thats how these diseases are getting into the adult biz and getting passed around left right and centre.

This isnt a subject most people like to talk about but i feel its something that needs to be discussed and sorted out.

There are also models who have been given the all clear but do not have the written cert working.

I think anyone who works with a model whether male or female, who doesn't have the certs needs to have their head examined, specially after your post Tequila :)

Not only that, but a subject worthy of some discussion.

A cert is only as good as the integrity of the person holding it. The industry is reliant on people taking others on trust. One thing that concerned me when the AIDS scare hit the US were the number of high profile girls doing the "bukkake" and "party" events... I know a lot of girls in the industry also work as escorts - and I have to say that I support them for doing that and am pretty much in favour of it; but the party scene, the unprotected oral etc with multiple partners in those environments was something that caused and causes me some discomfort.

Why do I think escorting is OK and parties are not? a) in the 1 to 1 engagment I think there is generally a little more respect paid to hygiene and safety issues. I may be misguided in that thought, but its how I see it/imagine it to be. b) the money for films is poor compared to escorting, c) there often isnt enough work to keep a girl busy each and every week and d) they can capitalise on their porn persona, charge a premium, make some guy happy and put a few extra quid in their own pockets... and e) providing they're engaging in "safe sex" - is there any differnece between them escorting or having a relationship outside of the industry - casual or otherwise???

Some will say that if they're a model/performer they should stick to modelling/performing... I'm not na?ve enough to believe thats practical or ever gonna happen - all I would say is that girls (and boys) in this industry should relaise that they have a duty to OTHERS in this industry more than they have a duty to themselves. If they wanna play sexual "russian roulette" - fine, that's their choice. But by being a performer in this industry and playing that sexual "russian roulette" they are engaging their partners on set in their game and that is CLEARLY NOT ON!
I retired when I sadly realised nobody wanted me!

>Who's the 'amateur' guy who only a few months ago convinced a brand
>new girl in the industry to work with him on that old cliche of ' a casting.'
>He had no certs and used no condom. She was dumb enough to go for it.
>Supposedly, she then contracted an STD from him. I haven't used her
>because of it and I wouldn't touch that particularly sad and sleazy no-
>hoper male with a barge pole.

I know of 1 guy on this forum who did the "Unpaid Casting" which was he he insisted was unprotected, with a brand new girl, she didnt ask if he had certs as she didnt know, and he never asked her if she had them, then when i told her the score she called me a knob and that he was ok, then i sent her a text about 2 weeks later telling her to watch that "Porn Shutdown" on Channel 4, i got a text off her saying oh my god...

Anyway he pestered her and whatever and was treating it more like a casual relationship than working..

Needless to say i dont send anyone his way, and recommend against him all the time, and her? well she's currently in the USA with derek (L.a.D), so hopefully she will move onward and upward.
It is said that both love and truth walk hand in hand. But if the need is great enough, can we learn to love a lie?

Faye...

Your boyfriend is so damn old I think you are more than enough for him... LOL.

On a serious note... From the information as it appears in Tequila's first post and from information that has been given to me by those who do know the names of some of the infected models, we seem to be having a mini version of the HIV scare in the States last year.

Maybe there should be a four week production shut down here, as of now.

Hi...
I have not in my 4 years of working in the biz ever got any STD's.
Maybe i have been very lucky so far...
But i don't fuck about..
I like to be a professional on Set, I get asked to do what ever and i do it

I have and always will have full certs when i go to a job..
I even overlap them so i know i am 100% clean plus i get tested at two different centres down here in Devon cus i can't get the tests for Hiv and the others STD at one Hospital... Dam red tape.....

I try not to beleive any gossip that is going around..
Maybe a good thing i live in Devon that i am not apart of it...

But people i am 100% clean and Tested at the mo, Rob stone here can Vouch that i can perform....

I agree Jack...Which is why i will now, for the first time in 2 years, have a blacklist of models i refuse to work with as i cant trust their integrity. Its a shame, but it has to be done.
