Patrick,

Don't know if it's my PC but only one model (Natalia) portfolio is clickable from the "Models" front page.

Patrick:
You seem to be somewhat premature in asmuch that your site don't work.
I hope that you are not just another wannabe model agent. Simply for the sake of the ladies who sign up with you in high hopes.
Do you specialise?
Have categories?
H/C is RELEVANT to this site - anything else does not really count.
Do you charge them - pix etc?

They come and they go. ad infinitum

marcus

I am building this site myself, and trying to do a good job at it
which takes time.

The agency does not specialise in anything, we have models from fashion to hardcore.

I am working my butt off to get that venture off the ground and I and the agence are well known now.

A web site is very important these days, I do agree, but is not a definite sign of wether the agency is serious or not.

As you know it is illegal for an employement agency to charge the models in order to enter the books, was that a trick question ? LOL

(see employement agency act which came into effect April 2004)

Cheers

Sorry but.....
The fundemantal problem with agents is that they do next to nothing for their money.
As ********** so rightly pointed out recently, the client is effectively paying 20 % for a phone call from agent to model -however much you want to dress it up.
Good money if you can get it,but it's hardly a service worthy of the fee.
And I've used 2 of the main "agencies" to be able to pass reasoned comment.

Frankly, any model would be always be better advised to take care of her own affairs.
Because ultimately the only one who has your best interests at heart is yourself - in life, nevermind modelling.
Just my opinion of course.

the fundamental problem is that people do not realise the amount of work an agent does by centralising the offer and demand for a start, checking thorougly the producer or wanna be producer, getting a better price, changing a test shoot into a paid assignment to name but a few of our duties.

Seeking the opportunities, full time, not just a few minutes a day ...
maximising the model's exposure to the right people and keeping the model from the dodgy guys ... collaborating with the police when needs be archiving everything so that every mail, every MSN conversation can be digged up in the interest of the model ... once again just a sneak preview.

ensuring that everything is legal, seeking professional advice (lawyer) when needs be, organising, chauffeuring, chaperoning ...

but yeah you must be right, the money is certainly not earned ... it is more than that : deserved.
