Well, you can ask Lasse Braun himself.
He has his own official site and can e-mail him at:
lassebraun@cybercore.com

At his site
http://www.lassebraun.com/

Lasse has posted the following message regarding his films, which may shed some light to your question (he is very approchable):

The whole LB DVD program is going to include most of LB's vintage loops and movies. Presently the original material is undergoing a new digital treatment in order to maximize the quality of the images. We're planning to have at least 4 DVDs ready for sale in the first months of 2006

There are two current reissues of Body Love. candy raton?refers to the American one (from Caballero). I just picked up a recent German DVD (distributed by "Lolita Films"). The cover is the classic one with the group photo and the logo with the drawn woman (whereas the ridiculous Caballero cover looks like some 80's aerobic tape). On the German DVD we are also promised - and given - the complete movie soundtrack (by electronic music legend Klaus Schulze) in new surround mix. However, and quite weirdly, the actual film is nothing but a copy of a VHS (worn at that, tape damage is clearly visible).
In other words (or if you're not a great Schulze fan) - beware!

If anyone's seen the Caballero version, it would be interesting to know about the picture quality.

The picture quality is OK, i.e. usual Caballero standard, though not much better than the original NTSC tape. But since the original was film that tape was OK, not like NTSC tapes from the late 80s which were not originally shot on film and where much colour has often been lost.

There are no authoring problems (as there have been in some Caballero releases) - or at least no more than their usual practice of transferring it in two separate chunks - it's all there.
