Latifa2's computer crash

Post by Marmaduke »

Just a thought, Latifa, you say you had a 'crash' and lost all your pics and clips. Quite often, material can be recovered from drives after 'crashes'. You need an expert to examine your PC. I wish I could do this for you but sadly I'm no expert.

There's a technical forum on adultdvdtalk (www.adultdvdtalk.com) - someone there might advise you, or better still, someone on this forum.

Best of luck!

Another sad case proving how important it is to make back-ups of all your media files & documents.. Recovering a hard drive from a hardware crash (f.i: when the read/write heads touch the platters) is very expensive.

I had a hard disk crash and hadn't backed up my work.
I kept trying every week or so to fire up the computer and eventually, after about 3 months of trying, it worked - kind of - and kept working.
The computer itself was quickly getting very warm and the drive made 'unhealthy' noises but it did allow me to get the majority of my stuff off over the next several weeks - I took all the covers off so that it didn't retain too much heat and switched it off as it got too hot, which is why it took so long.
So if you get a hard disk crash keep trying to get back on, eventually you may be lucky.
