about Fievre italienne

I re-watch the VHS tape of Fievre italienne today to check with the data in EGAFD (coverbox).

And there is no nuns or Mother Superior...

Basically, it's Franco d'Alessi (Salieri's nonsex actor with the moustache) telling a story about WWII. As italian soldiers, F.d'Alessi and his men meet C.Clark (playing an US officer) in a farm as they seek shelter for the night. C.Clark allows them stay in the barn and warns them not to touch the women. He is the only one to have sex with the girls.

It seems that Colmax have made a slightly different film out of (partly) the same basic material. IL Mistero del convento has the same storyline. that is Franco d'Alessi and a group of Italian soldiers and so on, but the farm is clearly a convent in the original. As the soldiers approach to ask to stay, several novice nuns are throwing a ball to each other outside.

But it begins with Deborah Wells, dresssed initially as a nun, and Christophe Clark having sex in a bedroom.

The Laura Terenzi and Thunde Johnson scene is not in the Italian version. Joe Calzone is definitely not in it. I don't think, on reflection, that the Kathy Marceau scene is in it either.

Unusually for a nun film, the nuns lose their headresses at some point in each scene, as if it was intended to make another version.

I couldn't see anyone in my version that looked like Angela Baron, the German actress who made many films in the USA in the 80s.

As a second thought, maybe Colmax edited out all the stuff related to nuns and religion because of the french laws in the 80 - early 90 (no beastility, no S/M, no watersport, ... but that didn't prevent the sex-shops around Pigalle to sell those tapes). It easied off after mid 90s.

I had a similar thought. Then they added more scenes to make up the time as the original was quite short anyway.

Fievre Italienne should not be listed as an alternative title to Il Mistero del Convento.

Instead it ought to be listed as a compilation.

If it had been made solely of scenes from Mistero del Convento it could have passed for an alternative title.

Now that it also sports two scenes of entirely different footage it would be more accurate to treat it as a compilation.

BTW, anyone who knows from where, the scenes in Fievre Italienne that do not appear in b]Il Mistero del Convento[/b], comes from?
