Re: Seme d'Amore
Never watched it, but the name "Petra Dyrthen" would point to "Intime Liebschaften".
To translate from a reference book: "Three horny women find different ways to get turned on: one ogles at sex parties, one exhibits herself in a sex joint, and one has fun in a swingers club."
Does this sound familiar?

That sounds like a plausible answer - that title is listed in IMDB and the year of 1972 is plausible.
Thanks

The title is either 'Seme d'Amore' or possibly 'Intime Liebeschaften' by Hans Billian made in the early to mid 70's

Main fault is it doesn't follow a rigorous line in choosing the movies to examine, which are thrown in haphazardly and sometimes only to give consistence to the volume. Many films are left out;while, on the other hand, you sure don't need to have short reviews of, say, Fellini's or Bergman's movies, that everybody knows and on which available information is superabundant.
I think it is useful for german erotic movies of the '60's and '70's, if you have nothing else to draw from.
But generally, about porn, it is ridiculous: the author has seen few, if any, of them; moreover, he doesn't like them and information is drawn mainly from secondary sources: so one is left wondering why did he include them at all. At 600 pages and thousands of films reviewed, it is unlikely you ain't gonna find some useful bit of information; but it leaves you (or, at least, it leaves me) with the marked impression that even that bit it'd better be verified against other sources. For example, of many movies, even german, that he says are simply erotic, I own an undiluted, unedited, porno version.
A book for starters, I'd say.

Thanks.
You mention that he relies heavily on secondary sources when porn films are concerned. That might be interesting in its own right. If those secondary sources are properly referenced, that is. But I expect that as a given for a German publication, especially a lexikon.

The bibliography at the end of the volume is quite ample, but not exhaustive (i.e., as exhaustive as it could be even more than 10 years ago). And only as far as german sources are concerned. On the contrary, considering the wide range of movies taken into consideration, it is quite meagre.
Anyway, if you are looking for a bibliography on porn, one has been published in Italy 6 months ago (and it sells at 1 euro!). But it doesn't take into consideration german works and, partially, french ones, being sound only on american studies. Maybe you own already this bibliography (by Pietro Adamo) as it was included in the "Annuario" (Yearbook) published last year by "mare nero" (the one with Vanessa del Rio on the cover).
