At 1.30 this morning I witnessed a man violently beating down on his wife in the street. I kept pace with him across the road, knowing that my presence would prevent him from doing further damage to her.
This lasted until just past the fire station, all the while he launched a lot of utterly warped, depraved and disgusting abuse at me.
Finally, when he realized he could not beat her more with me watching he came across the street to fight.
I FUCKING DESTROYED THAT CUNT!
And I mean destroyed. I am relatively unhurt but that evil, sadistic bastard is now massively disfigured for life.
He hobbled to the police station, his wife had thankfully disappeared, but when he got there he told the cops that HE was the victim. I was still following so I quickly rectified his bullshit but I was still detained for 12 hours and eventually charged with assault.
I am due in court next month, but every cop I spoke to said that I did the right thing and that I shouldn't have anything to worry about.
There are 3 types of people I hate in this world:
Hash-heads.
Middle-class snobs.
AND MEN WHO BEAT-UP WOMEN!!!!
I bet that fucker got the fright of his life when he realized that the I don't go quietly into the night.
Fuck him! He deserved it.
After reading the story last week of the man who gouged-out his girlfriend's eyes I could not choose apathy in that situation. She was obviously powerless and under his spell, but there's not a chance in hell I'm just going to let that happen right in front of me and do nothing about it.
Men who beat-up women.

Re: Men who beat-up women.
Well done but the problem will be if his wife sides with him, get a good solicitor..
Re: Men who beat-up women.
Court-appointed. !blush!
I think she'll keep her mouth shut. I feel so sorry for her though. Why do women think that they can tame a bastard?

Unfortunately, this normally happens, since the woman/ victim must live in permanent terror of reprisals from her abuser, so she has little choice other than to flee to a refuge.
The danger in this case, is if the woman under pressure from her husband, is coerced into testifying that Gator made an unprovoked attack. I would suggest it would be wise to ascertain as to whether there is any CCTV footage available, that has recorded the event both before and after.
All the same well done to Gator! !bravo!!bravo!!bravo!

Re: Men who beat-up women.
You need to listen to Jim - Retrace the route see if there is any street CCTV or failing that any Video at the fire station - this is important Ive seen people get caught up in this and come out worse - As said the woman will probably side with hubby to keep the peace.
If as you have said permanently disfigured this guy then he could come after you for all sorts and you could be looking at jail time - seriously. And you dont want to go down for this tosser.
Your right he had it coming and a couple of times Ive intervened myself in the past in similar situations - arse hole thinking he can hit and take out anger in on woman. Funny thing is he kicked a dog and this was witnessed so the court didnt do much for the woman but he got put away for a bit for the dog issue. Shame it was a police dog !

The fire station CCTV is a long shot. But it might work.
I didn't go into complete detail in the story (my fingers hurt and it's hard to type) but he came across the street to attack me and I did what I had to do to get him away. I could have just run away afterwards but I kept following him in case he closed the gap with his wife and re-asserted his manhood with her.
Plus, he was wasted and I was sober. Even if I could knock him down with minimal force he wouldn't feel it, and his body wouldn't be telling him to quit, so I really had to lay into the dirty fucker.
I was honestly the victim here (after his poor wife) and HE was the antagonist.
I hate to be a monger of cliches too, but what goes around comes around.

We believe you but if there's one thing the Establishment hate is people taking the law into their own hands. It shows up what a bunch of pansy-arsed wimps they really are...

Re: Men who beat-up women.
As you have been charged then i expect the police would be checking any cctv evidence but dont forget they will be on the side of the prosecution, as a Judge once said.. This is a court of law young man Not a court of justice, like i said before get yourself a good brief..
Re: Men who beat-up women.
You say that you were charged with "Assault". The danger with this case as far as I can see, is the possibility that the wife sides with her brute of a husband and maintains they were,"Having a nice evening out when they were attacked for no reason whatsoever". The charge, with a bit of lying from this couple, therefore could be easily elevated to, "Aggravated assault leading to grevious bodily harm." The fact that you were sober and they were drunk doesn't help either, because it supports the scumbags case that he was no more than an innocent victim and simply, "Cant remember nothing m'lud!" and him and his wife were only, " 'aving an Andy Capp moment, M'Lud!"
You need to do the following as a matter of grave urgency:
Seek a very good solicitor, I know it might be a waste of time, but it may be worth contacting some womens groups that campaign against abuse and see if they have any suggestions.?
Look for witnesses and CCTV from as far back in the route ?taken that night by the couple as there is always the chance he attacked her long before you got involved.
Establish whether the woman saw a doctor or paramedic ?after the attack, they would have made notes and she may have commented on how her injuries were actually sustained, before her husband had the chance to silence her. In other words is there any evidence that she sustained any injuries during the attack?
Find out what the scumbags statement to the police was on the night. If the woman was a victim of an alleged assault, the police should have sent an officer to her home and got a statement from her, did they do this?
?Avoid at all costs using flowery language whilst discussing this case to anyone. You are obviously and quite rightly proud that you may have saved an innocent woman from being beaten to death and hence your emotional proclamation,
" I FUCKING DESTROYED THAT CUNT!
?
....... And I mean destroyed. I am relatively unhurt but that evil,
> sadistic bastard is now massively disfigured for life.......
I would suggest, you didn't mean any of the above and that on reflection, "You merely did your best to protect an innocent woman who was being violently attacked by a drunken maniac. When you remonstrated with her attacker he flung his victim to one side, flew across the road in a rage and immediately launched a crazed, violent attack on your good self, ?his attack being so violent and uncontrolled, that you truly feared for your life!?
During the course of this unprovoked attack, your attacker suffered injuries as he refused to be restrained from continuing his assault on his victim. You behaved as any law abiding citizen would do under similar circumstances and used what you believed to be at the time, reasonable and proportional force to prevent this man from inflicting further injury on his victim and causing severe injury to yourself.?
Finally, you would be very unwise to trust the police telling you,"
" I am due in court next month, but every cop I spoke to said
> that I did the right thing and that I shouldn't have anything
> to worry about."
Do not discuss anything further with the police without a lawyer present!!!!!!!
I hope this is of some help, but find a solicitor as a matter of urgency.

Best of luck, Gator, and I echo Mr Slip`s sensible words of advice. I am
still mystified why you hate middle-class people (since that means the
working class and the aristocracy are both OK). I don`t like to think what
you would have done if the bloke had been middle-class - and beating up
his wife...but best of luck in Court anyway !
