Yep, I think he played at Glastonbury with Bruce awhile back.
A wonderful sax player who had a crucial part in the overall sound of the E Street band.
RIP Clarence

David,
I think he played Glastonbury two years ago now.
I remember watching it on the television.
Great Performance.
Hopefully the BBC will show it again if only on BBC4 has a tribute.

Rosalita
Electrifying performance from both Bruce and Clarence. I'm sure its how he'd like to be remembered.

That's a great shame. I heard that he'd had two strokes. Very sad news. He was an incredible sax player and had an amazing stage presence. I saw Bruce Springsteen at Wembley Stadium in 1985 when I was a teenager and Clarence was as much a part of the show as Bruce was. I saw Bruce live three further times (twice with the full 'E Street Band' and once without). Clarence was an amazing live performer and this is a very sad day for music. RIP big man.
Re: RIP Clarence Clemons
Must say that whilst he was a fantastic player back in the day, whenever I watched him on recent live shows on TV, he looked ill. Looked like he was barely mumbling his lines. The Glastonbury show is an example where he looked dazed and tired throughout
Still, as saxophonists go, the Big Man was in a class of his own
