Erotica. Was it good? My thoughts..

Post by rhino »

After going down there, this afternoon. What was my opinion?
Well, I was disappointed to miss out of the Dita Von Teese book signing.
Even though a number of people did ask if she was going to sign again. No!
Hell! I didn't even buy any of the Dita Von Teese products. A big miss there.
I met Cathy Barry, Pascal, Marino, Syren Sexton, Angel Long and Demetri.
Also Holly McGuire, Monica Harris and Kyla Cole.
Cindy Behr (gave me a kiss and a big hug) Verena Twigg and Krystal Webb.

I didn't spend a lot this time. Not like last year.
I think the photo prices were a bit cheaper this time.
Shame the guys at the Daily Sports stand forgot to charge me ?20 for the photos. I walked away from that place free of charge.

Couldn't be bothered to eat anything down there. I can't believe they were selling a Scottish Burger for ?5. I can buy two burgers at MacDonalds for that price.

To sum it up, it's OK. I would've gone Friday. But I was too busy.
Who knows if I'll go next year? Only time will tell.

I stopped going to that giant car boot sale of sex paraphernalia years ago... it's a totally pointless, but nonetheless expensive, exercise.

I haven't been for 4/5 years, the last time it seemed to be like a giant sex shop selling loads of PVC, lube and, "Something for the weekend, sir?" kind of stuff.

Worryingly, at the time, I noticed alot of people, but very few had appeared to have purchased anything. I suspect that much of the clobber they sell there is cheaper to buy on line.

Didnt see the point. Venus blew it out the water in terms of meeting people, doing deals and business

Erotica would only be for socialising and with teh UKAP party next week, whats the point?

Though I wont be at the party for filming an important wedding

The last time i went as i leaving i overheard a couple of girls behind me talking and one of them said, why do they call it Erotica that was the least erotic thing i have ever seen, it summed it up for me...

I have to disagree on this year. I had a stand and had a terrific time. Met up with some of the legends of the adult industry especially some old school photographers. Our stall was packed out all weekend.

And I have been to most.
We need to support our British shows to keep the industry in a positive light.

And it was great to meet so many fans face to face.

The customer numbers were up on last year. And made some fantastic business contacts.

I'm with Marino on this one - better than the last couple of years in terms of choice of relevant stands, top adult stars attending, etc etc. Had feared Erotica might go too far in the direction of "lifestyle", but pleased to report it's come back from the brink. Just.
But there are still too many stands which aren't relevant to the theme of 'erotica' and seem to be there to make up the numbers: shoeshine? botox? hair extensions? And, for goodness sake, the blinking RSPB?
