Why pay for porn when it is freely available on loads of sites for free?
I am not even talking about the file sharing sites.
Seems no one else does.
Opinions welcome.

Re: Simple Question - why pay for porn
Yes DVDs and CDs and before that Vinyl. I too would have been an advocate of those formats not too long ago. Heck I still buy Blu Ray Discs but am starting to feel like the minority.
I think it all started with the death of Vinyl and the fantastic artwork you would get with Vinyl as opposed to 8 track or the casette format.
With the likes of Strictly Broadband what is the point of buying DVDs? Is it the ownership or ability to playback the media instantly without having to rely on a broadband connection?
In regards to porn - has it lost its edge? When I was a kid it was a total privialge to even own one 10th generation copied porn tape of the lowest quality possible. Hell I can even remember the music to the first porn I ever watched.
I think internet has killed the romance of viewing not only porn but all types of film and music. For music I just buy on 'itunes' now yet own nothing apart from a growing debt on my credit card.
I guess live performances are what it is all about for music and also porn. The 'interactivity' of involvement in music and porn hence a lot more porn producers holding 'get togethers' to meet the 'stars'. Live music ecoes this and more money is now made from gigs and tours.
What the future holds who knows. All I know is downloading porn and paying for it seems to be dead.

I agree with Reggie although the biggest thing for me is not wanting to sit at my PC with my pants round my ankles lol
If your opening the old debate about why nobody pays for porn it's been discussed many times.
For me it's cons, some 'actresses' now in the industry who shouldn't be called models but porn stars and boring and for some reason obnoxious porn being the norm.

To avoid the almost certainty of catching malware would be number 1.Even the best anti-virus software is only good for detecting 95-98% of infections
The less than best are a lot worse
August 2009 comparisons
Sure you can catch them anywhere on the net but more and more the criminals are who you will find joining image/video forums and sharing their freebies complete with malware
I say that as someone who has no commercial interest in porn
If you know what you like sometimes its easier and quicker to just join a website or buy a dvd rather than trawl through the over saturated internet

Re: Simple Question - why pay for porn
People are still paying for porn if it is something they really want to watch, trouble is the market has become saturated with both good and not so good porn, anyone producing porn these days for the commercial market really needs to think about the content, the thing to do is to find a fresh girl and sign her up to a 6 month contract, expensive i know but you will own all of her early stuff, and the first thing girls do once they have made a few bob is get their tits done so you will also own all of her pre-boob job material, and that always sells !wink!

Hole in one Planeterotica.
I have friends that look at the tube sites and ask me why does anyone pay for porn when itis available for free?
Maybe Im fortunate because Ive been around a long time. I see people producing interesting content that if I got into it now I would have been more calculating but they are suffering to recoup their investments.
Maybe Im lucky and maybe as Planeterotica said, that people liked the girls a lot more when they were fresh, wide eyed and innocent with natural bodies. Though it seems a lot of girls do go on to forge themselves a career with boob jobs. I used to think a girl was devaluing herself the moment she got enhancements.
I guess I cant be right all the time.

Re: Simple Question - why pay for porn
If you have a site that offers something different then people will pay. Look at Private for example, they shoot high quality big budget productions that are well directed, I can't think of many other companies that compare to them. Theres Vivid, I guess, but some how they're not as classy as Private, or am I just sick of American's saying "oh yea baby do it, do it, yea! ;P xx
