Whore vs Pornstar debate part 2

I was going to post this in the main thread, but it's a bit off-topic.

Why is this debate centered (preseumably) around female pornstars? I assume this because of the word "whore", a term traditionally used to describe women giving sexual gratification in exchange for reneumaration.

But what of the men? Are Keni Styles, Jay Snake and Ian Tate not pornstars? They do porn and are well known in the industry as performers, or are they just whoring their man-ginas?

I guess that algarve addick would see them as proper studs, giving it good and hard to the sluts who fucking love their big, fat meat because thats what women want, innit? We need an emoticon for irony, by the way.

On a second note: Quite a lot of opinions have been aired in the debate and I'm wondering now that, because the UK industry is quite small, will this affect your choice of working with some pornographers or performers because of the views they have stated? And if you work with somebody because they pay you, despite not agreeing with whether they bracket you as a porn performer or prostitute, does this change your view of what you do?

I did post to Algarves original thread ,with humour as thats generally in my nature... I mentioned this as I've appeared in stuff myself.
I may well be a male-slut and have no probs with the term but "Common Whore"???
Like I said before, prostitute, sex worker, pornstar, adult performer... the lines are distinctly grey and I won't deny it - that would be ridiculous. Yes, it depends on the person, the details of the job, the employer, the working conditions and a thousand other things.

Nevertheless "Common Whore" is simply an insult. It is neither a description nor a title it is just a phrase designed to cause offense.
Anyone using this tern here is either too stupid to understand the connotations of such a term (and I doubt that) or wishing to create a debate by offending.

I am an adult industry worker but not a whore or a pimp.
I am part black but not a Nigger.
I am part Irish but not a Mick.
I am a liberal but not a do-gooder.
Some phrases carry emotional weight and it is no good to pretend to ignore this when entering into a debate.

"Common whore" is clearly meant as an insult but tends to be directed at the ladies whereas the men tend to be more posatively labled as studs.

In my post of 10-17-09 / 21:06, I actually asked of 'the girls, or blokes, for that matter......' how they considered their roles in the sex industry.

As this website is actually called the 'British Girls Adult Film Directory,' my assumption (rightly or wrongly) is that most people reading and / or posting on the forums have, by and large, got girls in mind.

However, prostitution is not a career exclusively available to, or utilised by those of the female gender. Consequently, my 'Whore / Pornstar?' debate encompasses both sexes.

To that end, the gentlemen to whom you refer above, to my way of thinking, anyway, are, indeed by definition, whores!

And, for the record, (as it seems to have gone way over the head of DozyDaz) there is absolutely nothing derogatory in that statement.
