Talladega Nights, the movie...

Post by max_tranmere »

Has anyone watched this, or is watching it now on Five USA? I managed 40 minutes of this "comedy" tonight and it is basically crap! What an anti-climax. According to Wikipedia though it was a massive success, had a cult following, loads of famous comedians liked it, and it grossed big bucks. Am I missing something, surely something good would be obviously good to everyone else. Anyone who has seen it, what did you think?

No, that was a typical Wiki typo.

Am currently sitting through Rambo III (advert break right now). Predictable, violent, but watchable.

I'd need amphetamines to keep me awake.

Rambo III was ok to watch, I've not seen the new one, but will at some point. Apparently Rambo III had the highest body count of any film EVER made! (fact).

That's something to be really proud of.

I thought Talladega Nights was classic. In saying that, I don't have the most mature sense of humour at times.

Yeah shame it never had much of a story to go with that needless waste of killing.

Still I guess lots of killings and explosion makes a good night in eh?

Austin Powers was a funny one when a henchman was killed and they had this whole scenario around his friends waiting for him to knock off and meet them at the pub for happy hour drink not realising their mate was just working as a lowly henchman to Dr Evil and was gunned down by Austin Powers.

I thought that was the funniest thing ever! probbaly just me that found that funny. Well me and mike myers maybe.

Hey was this not all pointless mentioning this stuff? A bit like Facebook right?

Try watching Apocalypse Now, Full metal Jacket or Platoon. Far better movies.
