But as a reformed burglar said in one of this mornings red-tops, (not verbatim)
"I can see who has an expensive car on the drive, tells me there may be something worth nicking inside. I look at the front door, and see they only have one lock on it, thats good. I check the alarm, if there's no box, there's probably no alarm, if the box isn't fitted very high up the wall, its probably self installed, poor quality and easily defeated. I can find which house is the easy target from my settee."

Re: Google Street View
Same as maps, cars, mobile phones, binoculars, walking down the street etc. Can't turn back technology. No point anyone complaining, it's just the way it is. This came in in other countries before the UK and no real complaints, but the way this country has developed there seems to be a sizeable minority of people who will complain about everything under the sun where progress is involved - be it airports, shopping centres, cars, power stations, phone masts .... the list is endless, there's always someone to object.
Re: Google Street View
I had a look at it but I think they've got plenty of work still in terms of coverage and user friendliness. I can see that people might be worried about security as you can drive the Google cam down the road and not bother looking at the road - just as the houses you pass.
