Rubbish, it doesn't exist. It snowed in London for the first time in October since 1934.
Climate change, maybe - Global Warming, a crock of old shit.
Global Warming
Re: Global Warming
Its the "man made" bit that the contentious part.
We have need of you again, great king.

Car drivers of course. We're responsible for everything else.

Re: Global Warming
The Ozone Layer and it's supposed hole, just healed itself, as soon as they found a bigger con to roll out.
Re: Global Warming
That pretty much sums it up.
The ozone hole just isn't "sexy" any more, and has gone very much out of fashion. So much so that it barely warrants a mention these days.
"Carbon footprint" on the other hand sounds much snappier trotting off the lips of politicians as they soften us up for more tax hikes.

Re: Global Warming
I am all for individuals having the freedom to think and express their thoughts as they please, but am disheartened that no one has really put up the case for the defence so far in this post.
To take the last point above, China has c. 1.2 billion people. We (the UK) some 60 million. Look at the emissions per capita. (Plus, China et al tend to make all the shit that we "developed" westerners seem to enjoy by the cargo load, so in exporting much of our manufacturing east-wards, we've exported much of the emissions, too).
And yes, the Earth's climate has always changed, but never at such a rate as is happening now (I am f*cking freezing as I write this, although I admit this is not scientific evidence in itself).
I want to believe it's not happening/it's all a con, but I've done my assessment of the situation and just can't. That said, I trust you guys above have done some, too, so we will probably never agree.
I do my best to ignore the greenwash and those cynical businesses using it to sell stuff. (I tend to neatly bundle such people together under the collective noun of "an arsehold of greenwashers"). The real "green" option is simply to consume less - and when you consume less, you tend to save money in similar proportions. (This approach is not easily reconciled to capitalust theory, with it's general need for ongoing growth and consumption).
As I say, we'll most probably never agree but I can almost never resist the bait!
