To Boo or not to Boo

Post by bristolian »

Have watched my team fail to beat 8 (yes, EIGHT- just like the old vidiprinter days) men at home. Wonder if anyone had any stories that top this about their own team's incompetence, or does the whole world 'follow' The Gooners or SAF's Red Devils? As all around me were losing their heads and booing, it was all I could do to refrain from this mad behaviour? I know it's human but it's just wrong...isn't it??

It's mad and it's wrong, but you are helping keeping the club going and are entitled to make your opinion known if the team aren't doing well---and I'd say failing to beat eight men falls into that category.

Boo away.

I was at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day to watch my boys draw 4-4 with Villa. !hmmm!

Some people labled the game as 'entertaining'.I labeled it an embarrassment. To concede four goals at home, something that was unthinkable under 'The Special One'.This has furthered my resentment towards Avram Grant as our manager. !furious!

We've got the barcodes at home tomorrow, and a short trek across SW6 on New Years Day.Should be fun. !whistle!

Btw,best of luck to City for the season.Bristol needs a premiership club. What with the size of the City itself !thumbsup!bristolian wrote:

I'm a big believer that you support your team at all times regardless of how inept they may appear

Fair weather supporters that turn on their own team are idiots

No team tries to lose but those down on confidence can look extremely inept

Sorry mate. When you pay your money for a season ticket or membership and actually attend games reguarly, you have every right to throw abuse at the players of the respective teams. It does not make one 'fairweathered'.

Fairweathered is when one wakes up one morning and decides to support one of the 'Big 4' because they have a rich owner, and start throwing paddy's when things are going wrong.

You can smell them a mile off.
