lauded as the next beatles...the kiss of death

Big in japan

Had some absolute classic songs ie Don't be Cruel,The Flame etc

To be honest i thought they were a bit light on in the song writing department

Could never quite back up the hype

Hugely underrated. Not just great tunes but great lyrics -- wonderfully dry and humorous, up there with Randy Newman and Warren Zevon. Inspired line-up with the two jocks and the two dweebs and, non-'arguably', the best name for a band ever.
