Man Utd up and running

Post by Ace »

Wazza will be happy with his Mancs today, although Spurs made 'em work for it.

Spurs were unlucky today and further proof to my point that things even themselves up is a footballing old wives tale.

If Man Utd have had an even run of luck at the Theatre Of Shite over the last 10-15 years then I've got a 12 inch cock.

Wazza is correct, you DO need some luck. Last week for instance, Chelsea should never of had that penalty against Liverpool, but I'll take it if it means a win and 3 points.

"And of course, Chelsea's lucky goal came about due to their pressure."

What pressure was that? The pressure that they put on the referee? Because it wasn't by the pressure of their performance.

Liverpool dominated the first and last 30 mins of that game and in between it was probably even. You could be kind to Chelsea and say they edged the middle part of the game but they certainly didn't pressure Liverpool as Reina didn't have a save to make in the entire match and Chelsea only had one shot on goal (the penalty) in the whole game.

Yes Liverpool could have put them away and that's why Liverpool probably won't win the Premier Lge this season as they don't get the 2nd (or killer) goal enough for me and therefore try to take the luck element out of the game and that has happened too much over the last couple of seasons.

If we can be more ruthless then I'd fancy our chances as I see a side that is definitely better but although it's early days in the season I still see a team that isn't quite clinical enough.
