worst djs
Re: worst djs
Chris Evans is best suited to the radio , saves having to look at his face on tele' for one , plus he ain't got to copy other peoples ideas . Good choice . JJ .

Moyles, Ball, Cox, ....in fact all of 'em. I hate DJs. Irritating, vacious, thick as pig shit.
The only ones I could ever listen to were Peel and Everrit.

Shame this thread is confined to radio DJs because I've heard some pretty dire ones in strip clubs and at private parties! Theyeven make Chris Evans sound quite good !shocked!

Steve Wright, who (allegedly) does very little (if any) of the show live.
All on tape from the day before, apparently. Not just the interviews, the whole shebang.

"Let's do it..."
"Wrighty"
Good Old Wrighty!
"Hey Steve, Love The Show!"
It amazes me that someone with such a reputation (based on Radio 1 shows between 1980 and 1992) can have become the embodiment of all that is bad with radio dj's......
He's a walking ego full of his own self-importance, he arselicks all and any of his "guests" and for a pre-recorded show, the time-keeping is bloody awful. That "back-to-back oldies" feature is supposed to be between 2.30 and 3.15, invariably it starts at 2.56 and he cuts one of the tunes off halfway through to bring the news, it's obvious he doesn't like music as he talks over most of the tracks he plays it is after all the "Steve Wright Show", just check the way he has always shoved the weekly horoscope thing on a monday right at the end so it has to be rushed.
The thing that amazes me is the amount of middle-aged people who do actually tune in every day and think he's still great, that I do not get!
He's probably worse now than DLT "I'm really bonkers, me!" ever was on Radio 1, and the pair of them in real life are two of the most humourless up-their-own-arse gits ever to grace the airwaves.....

They're locking them up today, they're throwing away the key...I wonder who it be tomorrow, you or me?
Re: worst djs
We have Radio 2 on at work all day....when I get in it's Ken Bruce wibbling, then Jeremy Vine pontificating, Steve Wright arse-licking, then Chris Evans being Chris Evans...the days when DJ's actually just played records instead of imposing their "personality" on us for 2 to 3 hours is long gone...makes me glad I've got other stuff to do than listen to the radio when I get home! Occasionally they'll play some decent stuff (when they're not talking all over it), but you have to wait for all the James Blunt/Coldplay/Embrace/Keane rubbish to finish to hear it! Still, having the radio on saves too many major arguments at work...after all, what it would be like if everyone had their own choice of music on I dread to think!
Oh, by the way, worst DJ? Vernon Kay....no contest!
