Folks, views on this Glasgow band please??
I heard their album last night and i must say i was very impressed - especially their song rocket - really good. Ten times better than Franz Ferdinand imo!

I've not heard much of their stuff, but from what I have heard and witnessed, they have the substance to match their style. You meet a lot of almost-famous folk at parties up here, and I was having a bit of banter with the lead singer for about half-an-hour, until someone told me that's 'him' from El Presidente!
No talk of being 'the next big thing': they're all very modest in Glasgow, it's happened before......
Better than ze Franz, though? EP have a good sound, and are more direct, but lack something I can't quite define which endears me to FF- but they match them for presence and charisma, though! This is all IMHO.
All the best to them....... there are a lot of great acts in Glesgae that should be following suit.............
...........but there is only big money in music if you are popular.

Cited as the next big thing I hear - so let's all hope they turn out better than the current big thing Arctic Monkeys, who turn out to be Oasis impersonating The Dickies. Perhaps I'm getting old but their recent #1 hit is the most godawful racket I've heard in months.
