Sadly many of the best venues have now closed (partly due to ever more expensive licences, partly due to "gentrification" of some areas, partly due to the buildings being used for other purposes).

Indeed it is. Pubs in centralish London that still have strippers are:

Flying Scotsman, near Kings Cross
The Griffin, 125 Clerkenwell Road
Browns, Shoreditch High Street
White Horse, Shoreditch High Street
Sports Bar, Shoreditch High Street
Ye Olde Axe, Hackney Road
Nags Head, Whitechapel Road (near Aldgate East tube)

And Metropolis on Cambridge Heath Road, which although advertises itself as an "American style table dancing club" still does jug collections for the stage shows just like the pubs.

Blimey Bob,
I'm amazed the Flying Scotsman is still open. I would have thought it would have been "gentrified" by now. I remember the toilets were more of a health risk than a month in the Congo. I spent many a drunken evening there in the 90's talking to an exceptionally varied "clientele".

Is a fucking dive. Iv banned my blokey from going in there. Its just rough. Take him to Browns down the road...Little bit classier and nicer birds too. Im always draggin him in there!
