Like The Office, a mix of laugh out loud humour and deep embarrassment. On the whole I enjoyed it.

I laughed more at this than I did at The Office. Brilliant as The Office was I often found it too excrutiating to be actually funny.

Extras was like a cross between Alan Partridge and Larry Sanders...which can't be a bad thing! I was laughing all the way through....it was the Herman Munster bit that really got got me though.....oh and the rhyme about the Chinese and Japanese....oh and the Top Shop vouchers....oh and......etc etc. :)

The Office was more like car-crash TV. Extras was more genteel, and the better for it. Lots of jokes all the way through, that would be missed if you weren't paying attention, and all the characters got their moments of glory.

I thought it was really funny - but then again I'm a huge fan of Ricky Gervais & Steve Merchant, so I would!

I think people are expecting too much from the show due to the ridiculous amount of hype that it has been reeciving. It won't appeal to everyone because their style of humour is something of an acquired taste and doesn't aim for the lowest common denomenator.
