One VERY, VERY wasted talent. A tortured person who does deserve to R.I.P.
Godfather was his finest hour and his Oscar acceptance was even better, sending a Native American to collect it was top drawer IMO
Funny how his portrayal of a Nazi-American in the TV series ROOTS is VERY rarely mentioned, even though he won a major award for that as well

The West London of my youth is now on dvd

Last Tango, Waterfront, Streetcar and Godfather, if he had done nothing
else these performances are four of the greatest ever.

Yes, I'll join you on that one Dace, in fact I'm gonna watch em both (not keen on 3, great music though) the boxset has some cool extra's as well, a hidden feature of the Sorprano's guys discussing bootleg Godfather dvd's, Classic!,

Brando played leading roles in what I considerer to be two of the finest movies ever made - The Godfather and Apocalypse Now. So, a significant moment for serious cinema and a significant moment for me personally. Even though I was aware of his personal and professional decline from a recent article that suggested the star was in financial difficulty and living in nothing more than a bungalow up Muholland Drive, I gasped when I heard the news.
